Even if……all fails, GOD is still worthy did you know? When things, people and situations you were counting on fail, it sure leaves us disappointed doesn’t it? But as Charles Stanley says in his “30 Life Principles” book:
DISAPPOINTMENTS ARE INEVITABLE, DISCOURAGEMENT IS A CHOICE.
Some of you like myself may be looking back on this year so far and think: ugh, it has been extremely disappointing so far. So many things, situations and even people have failed me to where you feel you are carrying around the heaviness in your heart every single day. Boy, I sure would like to hear some good news for once!
I hold onto hope as tightly as I can and that comes from GOD, certainly not me. I will not let the enemy distinguish my hope……I choose to have it. And I choose GOD’S strength for me……
HABAKKUK 3:19 “GOD, THE LORD, IS MY STRENGTH, HE MAKES MY FEET LIKE DEER’S, HE MAKES ME TREAD ON MY HIGH PLACES.”
GOD is always worthy of our praise…….it’s what a true heart of faith does. And it does this even if everything goes south, even in death, disease, disappointment, discouragement, and helplessness.
PRAISE HIM IN THE HEARTACHE
PRAISE HIM IN THE FAILURES
PRAISE HIM IN THE SICKNESS
PRAISE HIM ALWAYS, NOW AND FOREVER!
I am learning through disappointment, not to throw my hands up and just give up because life gets too hard. Instead I choose to hang on to HIS strength for me! I see where disappointments can take us in the direction of the enemy and his favorite word he loves to throw around: failure! He is always in the background waiting for this to happen to us. We need to remember what JESUS said to Peter in Matthew 16: 23. It was this:
“BUT HE TURNED AND SAID TO PETER, “GET BEHIND ME, SATAN! YOU ARE A HINDRANCE TO ME. FOR YOU ARE NOT SETTING YOUR MIND ON THE THINGS OF GOD, BUT ON THE THINGS OF MAN.”
And if you think about it, maybe our discouragement and disappointments can be remedied like this. Rebuke Satan, praise GOD in the moment! Place your praise on HIM, because HE is worthy and because GOD works always for the good of those who love HIM.
No matter where you are today in your life, no matter what you are going through remember this:
YOU ARE DEARLY LOVED!
HAVE A BLESSED SUNDAY!
ROMANS 8: 24 “FOR IN THIS HOPE WE WERE SAVED. BUT HOPE THAT IS SEEN IS NO HOPE AT ALL. WHO HOPES FOR WHAT THEY ALREADY HAVE?”

We sang How Great Thou Art this morning. In verse 3, I thought about how He bled and died to take away my sin. How dark for Jesus, not to have that oneness with God that He’d had for all eternity! How bleak. But, as Hebrews says, He endured “for the joy set before Him!”
In the darkest of times, Jesus obeyed because He knew God had His best in mind for the future.
We certainly have suffering. But God promises it will be worth it all, as the hymn says, when we see Jesus. There is always the other side of suffering.
