ACTING ON WHAT YOU PROFESS TO BELIEVE

ACTING ON WHAT YOU BELIEVE……

Be the one! Be the one who obeys GOD and goes the extra mile to help and love on your fellow humans when no one else will. Be the one who is “set apart” for GOD. Are you the one who hears the call and then obeys when others turn their nose up? Don’t miss HIS call. Be still today and listen.

PHILEMON 1: 21 “CONFIDENT OF YOUR OBEDIENCE, I WRITE TO YOU, KNOWING THAT YOU WILL DO EVEN MORE THAN I SAY.”

Even more…….if we profess that JESUS is LORD and HE commands us to obey HIM, why wouldn’t we do for others as HE has asked…….and do even more! Go that extra mile, because when GOD goes with you in that “extra” it’s always worth it and a blessing too! We do have an extraordinary GOD who puts the “extra” in, when we can’t. GOD is writing your story and mine and HE sees and makes note of our actions when no one around us notices.

MALACHI 3: 16 “THEN THOSE WHO FEARED THE LORD SPOKE WITH ONE ANOTHER, THE LORD PAID ATTENTION AND HEARD THEM, AND A BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE WAS WRITTEN BEFORE HIM OF THOSE WHO FEARED THE LORD AND ESTEEMED HIS NAME.”

When we obey HIM, the LORD pays attention and writes our name in HIS book of remembrance! Wow! Don’t you want your name there? I know I do!

What we profess with our mouths had better match up with our actions too. People are paying attention to us whether we realize it or not. They watch and they make a judgement on our actions. Out in public? Remember who your GOD is and that you are an ambassador for CHRIST.

2 CORINTHIANS 5: 20 “WE ARE THEREFORE CHRIST’S AMBASSADORS, AS THOUGH GOD WERE MAKING HIS APPEAL THROUGH US.”

There will be times when we fail at this too. I find it interesting that non-Christians expect Christians to be perfect. If anything, we are more aware of how imperfect we are! When our actions don’t match up with what we profess, believe me, GOD makes us aware of our sin and humbles us in a way no one else will. We can do all things only through CHRIST alone…..

PHILIPPIANS 4: 13 “I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO GIVES ME STRENGTH.”

Today, let’s ask ourselves, “do my actions match up with who I am as a Christian and do my words express my faith?” May we stand upon our faith, trusting CHRIST in whom we believe and may we be strengthened in our weakness, doing even more than asked by HIM. HE alone gives us the power we need and the perseverance to walk this Christian walk. Stop and consider your ways today. Love and obey in spirit and in truth. Stand in HIS grace and let GOD work through you and in you. Not only are others watching, but GOD is too!

PSALM 16: 11 “YOU MAKE KNOWN TO ME THE PATH OF LIFE; IN YOUR PRESENCE THERE IS FULLNESS OF JOY; AT YOUR RIGHT HAND ARE PLEASURES FOREVERMORE.”
