Are you spent this morning?  Maybe at the end of your rope?  Are you feeling like it’s another day that the world is taking everything from you?  Maybe you feel grief from a recent loss or maybe you are facing a diagnosis you did not ask for.  But whatever you are feeling this morning, I am here to tell you that GOD’S faithful love is near and will surround you if you draw near to HIM.

It’s an ok thing if we lament and cry out to GOD.  Even JESUS did in the garden knowing HE was going to the CROSS.  Our cries to the LORD are heard…….

PSALM 89: 14    “RIGHTEOUSNESS AND JUSTICE ARE THE FOUNDATION OF YOUR THRONE; STEADFAST LOVE AND FATITHFULNESS GO BEFORE YOU.”

Our GOD is faithful even when we are not!  Take comfort today dear one to know that even our faithlessness does not keep GOD away.  We can trust HIS promises and cry out, and HE will be there for us to hang on to.  

When I was diagnosed with cancer and sitting in stunned silence, I cried out to GOD asking why me and why at this point in my life would I have to face this battle I never asked for.  It was a lament moment for me and GOD answered in HIS way.  I knew right away that HE was near listening to me because when I asked why, HE said this with amazing love and grace…….

SO WHERE IS YOUR FAITH NOW?

Isn’t it just like GOD to turn your thoughts right around to……..HIM?  I kinda had that wake up call and thought, you are right GOD!  In the middle of cancer, where is my faith?!  And from that moment on, I decided to trust HIM in a way I never had before in my life.  It has been a daily trust journey for me, this journey with cancer.   But the most wonderful part of all of it is that GOD never left my side…….never.  HE was and is very faithful.  The more I trusted, the more faithful HE was!

DEUTERONOMY 7:  9  “KNOW THEREFORE THAT THE LORD YOUR GOD IS GOD, THE FAITHFUL GOD WHO KEEPS COVENANT AND STEADFAST LOVE WITH THOSE WHO LOVE HIM AND KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS, TO A THOUSAND GENERATIONS.”

Remind yourself this morning who GOD is, your faithful FATHER, who never leaves you.  HE loves you and will show you grace when you go before HIM, even in your lamenting.  You might think HE doesn’t care about your particular issue, but HE will answer the true desires of your heart, because HE holds your heart gently and ever so kindly in HIS capable hand!

PSALM 37 : 4-5   ” DELIGHT YOURSELF IN THE LORD; AND HE WILL GIVE YOU THE DESIRES OF YOUR HEART.  COMMIT YOUR WAY TO THE LORD; TRUST IN HIM, AND HE WILL ACT.”
