With all our searching and strivings don’t we always seem to come up empty handed? It’s sad really, because so many are lost and so many search to fill the hole that GOD placed in their hearts. We tend to seek immediate gratification and we don’t seem to find it there either. Our phones or our screens or social media leave us empty and more lonely than ever before.
THE TEMPORAL DOES NOT MATTER
For each of us, as we search and search over and over, we come to dead ends. GOD has designed things this way, to come to the end of ourselves and then say: what then? What matters most? Do I matter? Oh we question and question until we do one thing. When our gaze shifts and we turn our faces towards the only true GOD who was there all along with the GOSPEL of TRUTH.
TITUS 1: 2 “THIS TRUTH GIVES THEM CONFIDENCE THAT THEY HAVE ETERNAL LIFE, WHICH GOD – WHO DOES NOT LIE – PROMISED THEM BEFORE THE WORLD BEGAN.”
What really matters then is who sits on the very throne of your life? Is it you or is it GOD? Because what really matters in the light of eternity is who has that allegiance? There are all types of religions, but there is only ONE GOD.
JOHN 17: 3 “NOW THIS IS ETERNAL LIFE: THAT THEY KNOW YOU, THE ONLY TRUE GOD, AND JESUS CHRIST, WHOM YOU HAVE SENT.”
We just celebrated Easter and CHRIST being risen from the dead. What matters too is that we carry this thought, the hope of CHRIST every day of the year in our hearts. What matters is: JESUS!
WHAT MATTERS IS THE ETERNAL
ROMANS 1: 20 “FOR HIS INVISIBLE ATTRIBUTES, NAMELY HIS ETERNAL POWER AND DIVINE NATURE, HAVE BEEN CLEARLY PERCEIVED, EVER SINCE THE CREATION OF THE WORLD, IN THE THINGS THAT HAVE BEEN MADE. SO THEY ARE WITHOUT EXCUSE.”
GOD’S power and divine nature is evident in our created world, a world that is slowly passing away. No one can deny GOD exists…….the evidence is seen in all the world’s beauty and design. And we are without excuse to see this design because…….
WHAT MATTERS IS THE ETERNAL KINGDOM
PSALM 145: 13 “YOUR KINGDOM IS AN EVERLASTING KINGDOM, AND YOUR DOMINION ENDURES THROUGHOUT ALL GENERATIONS. (THE LORD IS FAITHFUL IN ALL HIS WORDS AND KIND IN ALL HIS WORKS.)
WHAT MATTERS AND WHAT WE SHOULD BE GRATFUL FOR IS THAT GOD HAS PLACED ETERNITY INTO THE HEARTS OF MEN!
Don’t we desire the eternal? Why do some try to live here…….forever? Unbelievers say this all the time and seek it and yet GOD is right there offering eternity. All that we need to do is believe that HIS SON JESUS came and died for our sins and was raised to life on the third day. And we will live in eternity with HIM and HE will be with us. This is what matters today…….have faith because HIS heart wants all to come to HIM so no one will perish. So believe in HIS promise that all who call on the name of the LORD……..WILL BE SAVED! Don’t waste one more day seeking all that the world gives you, but never satisfies the soul. COME TO JESUS today and find for yourself……..what truly matters, an eternal KINGDOM established for you and an eternal love that waits for you.
REVELATION 11: 15 “THEN THE SEVENTH ANGEL BLEW HIS TRUMPET, AND THERE WERE LOUD VOICES IN HEAVEN SAYING, “THE KINGDOM OF THE WORLD HAS BECOME THE KINGDOM OF OUR LORD AND OF HIS CHRIST, AND HE SHALL REIGN FOREVER AND EVER.”
