HEAVENSREEF

It’s a gift to not have things go our way……..did you know?   We all have dreams and we all have desires.  I’ve had many dreams never come true and have had to let some go.  It’s just the way life can be.   Over time I have learned to not dwell on those dreams too much and to dream instead of what life will be like with my SAVIOR, the LORD JESUS.

PROVERBS 20: 24  “A PERSON’S STEPS ARE DIRECTED BY THE LORD.  HOW THEN CAN ANYONE UNDERSTAND THEIR OWN WAY?”

When we walk with the LORD in obedience, our plans, desires and dreams……..change.   It becomes easier to let GOD lead the way and to surrender our wills to HIM.   We are never taller then when we kneel before HIM, desiring what HE wants rather than what we want.  There is a freedom in this and a trust.

HE gives us purpose to live by, a heavenly and holy purpose and it’s worth everything, even giving up those dreams you may have had!

PSALM 37: 23  “THE LORD MAKES FIRM THE STEPS OF THE ONE WHO DELIGHTS IN HIM…..”

Conviction and purpose is best found in the LORD.  Anything that I can dream up honestly falls short……..why?  Because GOD is an abundant, majestic, Holy and righteous GOD!  HE is perfect and always true with provision for us and purpose.  HIS dreams for us are far beyond what we could imagine anyway.

So with time we allow HIS desires to  become our own.  When those desires line up with HIS heart, then HIS hand guides us onto a right path for our lives and HE keeps us from stumbling along the way.   Our only dream becomes one of wanting to see our SAVIOR and to stand before HIM as HE looks us square in the eye and says:  WELL DONE!

If you think about this, it is a simple dream, but one that is more precious than gold and one that is worth keeping close in your heart.  Our eye should continually be on the prize of Heaven.

MATTHEW 16: 19  “I WILL GIVE YOU THE KEYS OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN; WHATEVER YOU BIND ON EARTH WILL BE BOUND IN HEAVEN, AND WHATEVER YOU LOOSE ON EARTH WILL BE LOOSED IN HEAVEN.”

Our one focus, our one dream should be that we desire with our whole being to be where JESUS is!   Because HE died for our sin, died so we could live someday with HIM!

In my book, that is a dream to hang onto with all I have and to never look elsewhere for earthly dreams that can not come true or ones that disappoint.  Dreaming of eternity with JESUS will never disappoint, because HE is guiding us daily to our Heavenly home…….oh, to dream of Heaven, because that is where our amazing JESUS is!  And that is where our souls long to be for all of eternity!

NEHEMIAH 9:6  “YOU ALONE ARE THE LORD.  YOU MADE THE HEAVENS, EVEN THE HIGHEST HEAVENS, AND ALL THEIR STARRY HOST, THE EARTH AND ALL THAT IS ON IT, THE SEAS AND ALL THAT IS IN THEM.  YOU GIVE LIFE TO EVERYTHING, AND THE MULTITUDES OF HEAVEN WORSHIP YOU.”
