The Bible tells us there will always be poor people.  Material wealth is something not everyone enjoys.  If you own a computer or phone, Bible, had coffee in your favorite mug this morning, you already are richer than most of the world’s population. 

DEUTERONOMY 15:11  “THERE WILL ALWAYS BE POOR PEOPLE IN THE LAND.”

But material wealth can be taken away in a moment.  People strive for wealth that is a temporary thing and we all know that riches are left behind when one passes.  Did you know then that your spiritual wealth is priceless?

IF YOU HAVE JESUS, YOU ARE RICH BEYOND COMPARE.

Let’s look to the ONE who paid the price for us.  We were bought with a price!  Think carefully about what you have in JESUS…….the salvation of your soul!

1 CORINTHIANS 6: 19-20  “YOU ARE NOT YOUR OWN, FOR YOU WERE BOUGHT WITH A PRICE.  SO GLORIFY GOD IN YOUR OWN BODY.”

We are not our own, we belong to JESUS.  We are part of the Body of Christ and HIS sacrifice for us is worth everything……we cannot buy or earn our salvation, because of the CROSS.  JESUS is our redeemer.  When we put a value on the salvation of our souls, we realize what CHRIST did for us and it is beyond worth…….it is priceless!

YOU ARE RICH IN JESUS AND HIS SACRIFICE FOR YOU ON THE CROSS.

I think we all can say we know no one in our lives that has died for our sins……died so we could go to heaven……died on the Cross so we wouldn’t be separated for all of eternity from the GOD in heaven.  Ask yourself: are you truly rich because of CHRIST’S sacrifice on the Cross for you?  If you have JESUS, believe in HIM, believe HE died for you, love HIM with all your heart and soul…….then you are more rich than all the money here on earth. 

If you own even one Bible, then you are also immeasurably rich in HIS word……..

PSALM 119: 72  “THE LAW FROM YOUR MOUTH IS MORE PRECIOUS TO ME THAN THOUSANDS OF PIECES OF SILVER AND GOLD.”

The Good News translation of the above verse says it like this:

“THE LAW THAT YOU GAVE MEANS MORE TO ME THAN ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD.”

Let this be so for us.  What and whom do you value most?  WHO is your priority over everything?  What is priceless to you?  What do you currently have that money cannot buy?

 

Because of the sinners that we are, we cannot buy our way into heaven.  No that was bought for us, by JESUS dying on the Cross for our sins.  It is a true gift, a priceless gift, a gift like none other to be found in all the ends of the earth.  When you accept this gift, you need only to believe.  Love JESUS for HIS priceless act of love for you.  Your salvation is a gift from GOD, a priceless one……..treasure it with all heart and soul.
