FEEL SAFE IN HIS WORD TODAY

As the chaos of the world and the spreading coronavirus swirls around us, where then can we go for stability?  Remember, we do live in GOD’S economy of an upside/down living.  We see things through HIS lens and because of our GOD we can function on stable ground in spite of the chaos around us.  Have you opened your Bible today?  Where have you gone for your comfort today?  Because it is not found anywhere else but in HIS word.

LOOK TO GOD’S RED LETTER WORDS FOR YOU!

GOD’S red letter words strengthen us, carry us, and stabilize us with HIS many promises to us!  Take heart my friends because JESUS has overcome the world.  Don’t miss HIS message for HIS people:  In Roman’s 4: 11 it speaks of Abraham and how he never wavered from GOD’S promises:

ROMANS 4: 20 “NO UNBELIEF MADE HIM WAVER CONCERNING THE PROMISE OF GOD, BUT HE GREW STRONG IN HIS FAITH AS HE GAVE GLORY TO GOD.”

May we, as HIS people never waver when standing on GOD’S word.  It is our strength and stability.  We might temporarily falter, but we should always turn back to GOD’S faithful and true word.

GOD’S WORD FOR US IS ETERNALLY SAFE.

We can count on HIS word………maybe you are realizing that you cannot count on the news or the internet to be tried and true, but you can count on GOD’S WORD.  You can today, stand on the ROCK of HIS word…….

PSALM 130:5 “I WAIT FOR THE LORD, MY SOUL WAITS, AND ON HIS WORD I HOPE!”

Where else today can we put our hope and trust?  GOD is in control, HE knows our story and HE knows how all of this will end……..trust HIM!

Honestly, we cannot put our trust on any earthly thing………

ISAIAH 26:4  “TRUST IN THE LORD FOREVER, FOR THE LORD IS AN EVERLASTING ROCK.”

To conquer our fears we have to trust GOD’S promises to us.  We are to not fret and worry, but to live our lives with a vertical view that influences how we live our lives horizontally.

THE HOLY SPIRIT GUIDES US IN ALL TRUTH.

Our fears begin in the battlefields of our minds and it is only there that HIS word can conquer those fears.  So seek in HIS word today and find comfort, conviction and strength from it.

GOD’S RED LETTER WORDS TO US SQUELCH OUT FEAR.

To squelch means to put an end to something.  Let’s do that with our fears with HIS amazing WORD!

Only let GOD’S words to you dictate your life and squelch your fears.  And remember this too:

ISAIAH 8:13  “BUT THE LORD OF HOSTS, HIM YOU SHALL HONOR AS HOLY.  LET HIM BE YOUR FEAR AND LET HIM BE YOUR DREAD.”

The LORD’S word will help us conquer those fears for today and tomorrow.  Let’s place our trust there and find HIS peace……

2 TIMOTHY 1: 7  “FOR GOD GAVE US A SPIRIT NOT OF FEAR, BUT OF POWER AND LOVE AND SELF-CONTROL.”

Conquering those fears will bring us peace.  We will have peace of heart, mind and soul,  not like the rest of the world, but like a people of faith.

Whatever is crazy going on around us, remember HIS word tells us that GOD is in full control.

HEBREWS 2: 8  “NOW IN PUTTING EVERYTHING IN SUBJECTION TO HIM, HE LEFT NOTHING OUTSIDE HIS CONTROL.”

Nothing is outside HIS control…….absolutely nothing!  Today, let the quiet of your soul rest in that truth!

ISAIAH 26:3  “YOU KEEP HIM IN PERFECT PEACE WHOSE MIND IS STAYED ON YOU, BECAUSE HE TRUSTS IN YOU.”

  1. Hi Maxine. You hit the nail on the head when you asked, “Where have you gone for your comfort today?” As you then replied, “Because it is not found anywhere else but in HIS word.” This is so true.

It’s sad enough that unbelievers have no true source of comfort, it’s even sadder that believers have this source but ignore it.

Thank you for the encouraging post this morning!

  2. I love your “fear not” verses, especially 2 Tim 1.7, Heb 2.8, and (glory hallelujah!) Is 26.3.
    Here’s another:
1 John 4.18: There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment; and the one fearing has not been perfected in love.
May we be perfected in the Hands and sight of our Lord and Savior, our Almighty God!
