Sometimes we pray in the quiet. We wrestle and we pray, we cry and we pray more. And we think: GOD shouldn’t I know this by now? We see our failures and wonder why GOD even puts up with us. Then we wonder: is this situation too far gone? Am I too far gone? When we think this, then we don’t fully understand GOD’S grace for us. We have put hope aside, only to allow despair and desperation to set in. The enemy loves to find us in this state too. I don’t know about you, but I am so very thankful we have a GOD that understands us, especially when we are down and out and so vulnerable that we are at the point of giving up.
GOD WORKS IN THE MIDST OF OUR DESPERATION
And because we have an all-knowing GOD, HE points us in the direction of hope. Let’s never forget this:
PSALM 34: 18“THE LORD IS NEAR TO THE BROKENHEARTED AND SAVES THE CRUSHED IN SPIRIT.”
The LORD is near………when we are in the valley, HE is near. When we feel most alone in our circumstances, HE is near. HE…….is…….near. And when we don’t feel HIM near…….who moved? Let’s be honest, it always is us! We have a steadfast GOD who is our ROCK and our salvation.
And in all our breaking, HE is remaking us. Some wounds change us forever, some grief never goes away. Some mistakes stay in the back of our minds and remind us in a nagging way what a failure we are……..too far gone. But these feelings and thoughts about ourselves are never too far gone for our GOD because of HIS immeasurable grace!
GOD DOES THE POSSIBLE IN THE IMPOSSIBLE
How often do we get down on ourselves, down on the world and down on each other? How often do we think all of this broken down world is too far gone too?
But don’t ever despair because GOD had and has a wonderful plan, right from the beginning…..
GENESIS 1: 3 “AND GOD SAID, LET THERE BE LIGHT AND THERE WAS LIGHT. GOD SAW THAT THE LIGHT WAS GOOD…….”
It was good because we have a good GOD, a good GOD who only wants the best for you and for me. So run to HIM today…….nothing is ever too far gone. Because there is a plan, HIS good plan for now and all of eternity. Rest in HIS words today dear reader and know that GOD loves you and cares for you, even when you are ready to give up and even when you are in the valley. HIS plan includes you. HIS grace and mercy includes you too, because there is always hope, a hope for the future, a hope to look forward to……..a hope for our salvation!
REVELATION 3: 21 “TO THE ONE WHO IS VICTORIOUS, I WILL GIVE THE RIGHT TO SIT WITH ME ON MY THRONE, JUST AS I WAS VICTORIOUS AND SAT DOWN WITH MY FATHER ON HIS THRONE.”
