I love being around people that are full of joy. Their spirit is such a lift for me. But there is ANOTHER who can lift you as well and it is the LORD your GOD. So doing a little self-examination right now……what does your life say about you? Because what is in your heart says a lot about you in the way you live your life and how you treat all of your fellow humans.
We don’t need to go far to see or hear how people treat one another these days. I have read on social media words that are so hateful and cruel that you realize we are in a downward spiral as a nation and in reality it is because we have pushed GOD aside.
GOD CAN BE, AND IS THE DELIGHT OF OUR HEARTS.
SONG OF SOLOMON 8: 6 “SET ME AS A SEAL UPON YOUR HEART, AS A SEAL UPON YOUR ARM.”
When GOD is a seal upon our hearts then HE guards our hearts from the evil of this world. HIS guard, is HIS grace. And where there is grace, there is delight for it. Because each of our lives speak as an example of this amazing grace. HE saved us, HE rescued us from ourselves and we should live in this freedom of our sins with delight in our hearts.
It is a daily choice to live in this delight……when you remember what JESUS did for you on the Cross and how HE chose the nails for you, then your heart is a little lighter, knowing HE died so you could live free. So let’s live like it! Let’s live knowing we have the hope of eternity to someday live in a better place with our Sovereign LORD. Some of us carry the world around on our shoulders, but we should leave that worry to the ONE who is all capable and all knowing and is our blessed HOPE.
Think on this: is your life speaking to someone today? Who is watching you? Because where your heart is, there your treasure is also. Do you treasure JESUS more than anything else in your heart? Do you speak more of HIM than anything?
LUKE 6: 45 “THE GOOD PERSON OUT OF THE GOOD TREASURE OF HIS HEART PRODUCES GOOD, AND THE EVIL PERSON OUT OF HIS EVIL TREASURE PRODUCES EVIL, FOR OUT OF THE ABUNDANCE OF THE HEART HIS MOUTH SPEAKS.”
Carry delight in your heart and you will speak delight. Listen today to what your heart speaks and pay attention. Ask GOD to remove what HE doesn’t want there. Let HIM expose the negativity and sin. HE wants your heart to be light and to illuminate light with the light of CHRIST.
JOHN 12: 36 “WHILE YOU HAVE THE LIGHT, BELIEVE IN THE LIGHT, THAT YOU MAY BECOME SONS OF LIGHT.”
Be HIS light today and live with gladness in your heart and then your life will speak to others HIS love, power and grace. And when you are asked, be ready to share why your heart is light and full of delight. Because your GOD loves you and takes great delight in you.
PSALM 147: 11 “THE LORD DELIGHTS IN THOSE WHO FEAR HIM, WHO PUT THEIR HOPE IN HIS UNFAILING LOVE.”
