There are one life-giving words chosen for you each day…..did you know? GOD has a word or words just waiting for us to see and embrace for the day to come. GOD highlights the word for you, you need only to be still and listen. Because I read and write so often, I am always searching for that one word I really need that day that stills and fills my soul. How about you? Is what you read or hear just words on a page or do they have life-sustaining power for you?
WORDS CAN HEAL YOU, LIFT YOU, OR TEAR YOU DOWN.
JOHN 1: 14 “AND THE WORD BECAME FLESH AND DWELT AMONG US, AND WE HAVE SEEN HIS GLORY, GLORY AS OF THE ONLY SON FROM THE FATHER, FULL OF GRACE AND TRUTH.”
I thank GOD every day that HE left us HIS word which has power for us…….we need only to search and read HIS good book every day. But how would you or I ever know about HIS living word unless we continue to study and examine it! Remember that the BIBLE is GOD’S love letter to all of mankind and it shows HIS heart for HIS children. It is all truth, just filled with mercy and grace and power and love.
Sometimes I will choose one word to carry me through my day. I will put it in my Bible app just to read all the scripture that pertains to it. I am always amazed where I can find the word and how often it appears in the New Testament or the Old Testament. And then, GOD in HIS infinite wisdom, points me to that one scripture that highlights my word choice. I love how just choosing a word can bring hope to my heart and delight in my inner being. Like I said, HIS word equals life-sustaining power.
PSALM 119: 16 “I SHALL DELIGHT IN YOUR STATUTES; I SHALL NOT FORGET YOUR WORD.”
When we behold GOD’S word and really stand in awe of it, we realize it can speak for us when we cannot put into words what we are feeling or experiencing that day. HIS word gives us renewed hope and fresh strength. How powerful that is! The Holy Spirit flows through GOD’S word in ways we don’t fully understand.
Remember today, when the world sucks the life out of you go right to GOD’S life-sustaining word. It is powerful and there for you for a reason. We need only to see the amazing treasure that it is, a true life-giving, life-sustaining gift!

What an interesting spiritual practice, to choose a daily word. I like that idea, and will have to try it out.

Yes and when you choose one watch how GOD uses the word! It often pops up in scripture too!

Amen 🙏🤗 God’s Word is never just words on a page. It can meet us exactly where we are and give us the strength, hope, and peace we need for that day.
I love the idea of carrying one word from Scripture with you throughout the day and letting God bring it alive in your heart. His Word truly gives life.
