Small acts of obedience are big in GOD’S eyes……..did you know? There are small acts of obedience we do that by the world’s standards mean nothing, but by GOD’S standards they mean everything.
A SMALL AND SEEMINGLY SIMPLE LIFE IS SEEN BY OUR GREAT GOD.
I love simple and am always trying to find a simpler way. I find the more I strip away the stuff of this world, the happier I am. The world tells us we need stuff and more stuff. The world says you need this to be happier. But GOD tells you that you just need……HIM.
1 SAMUEL 15: 22 “BUT SAMUEL REPLIED: “DOES THE LORD DELIGHT IN BURNT OFFERINGS AND SACRIFICES AS MUCH AS IN OBEYING THE LORD? TO OBEY IS BETTER THAN SACRIFICE…….”
If it is a better thing to obey, then why do we choose not to and then find ourselves miserable anyway?
Since the beginning, back in the Garden, man and woman has chosen not to obey GOD. It’s our sinful nature and GOD knows it and offers us a better way. When we realize who is truly in charge of our lives, humble ourselves and obey, then our lives take a turn and begin to have meaning and purpose behind all that happens……..obey GOD and simplify your life.
OBEYING GOD’S WORD KEEPS THINGS SIMPLE, NOT MORE COMPLICATED!
MARK 12: 30 “LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH.”
One simple thought should guide us: we cannot love the LORD our GOD with all our heart, when our heart is captured by earthly idols. The small act of staying vertical with our lives in everything, is not small to GOD. Where are hearts live is where our treasure is!
IS GOD YOUR ONLY AND TRUEST DESIRE?
Does GOD alone sit squarely upon your life and heart? Is HE your only priority?
MATTHEW 7: 14 “BUT SMALL IS THE GATE AND NARROW THE ROAD THAT LEADS TO LIFE, AND ONLY A FEW FIND IT.”
The world might view our beliefs as small, as insignificant and unimportant compared to what the world believes important, but GOD sees our lives and our worth.
When we have chosen to follow and worship GOD with all our hearts, HE sees! HE sees our small acts we do every day, those done with kindness and love and those done for HIS glory and not our own. Others might not notice at all, but GOD does.
To honor and to love GOD and to do small acts in HIS name is living for eternity. It’s keeping our eye on the prize, on the future to come…….and that is no small act, not in our eyes and especially not in GOD’S!

Zech 4:10 the Lord loves small beginnings! So it is good to just watch and then do something, even if it is small. It will have an impact. I was at the store the other day and the man in line behind me had something for his lunch, and I told the cashier to ring it up with mine. The man looked at me in shock, and I told him I was just doing what God asked me to. He was blown away, and it gave me a chance to tell him that God loves him. The cashier was blown away too. Like the Nike slogan, “Just do it”
