HIS PROMISES – OUR REALITY

HIS PROMISES NEED TO BECOME OUR REALITY

I recently read this by Paul David Tripp:

“But you can have hope because YOUR LORD has complete rule over all the places where you will need HIS promises to become your reality.”

HIS promises are always perfect and true…….ours are not because how often do we break our promises?  I must admit that I have broken a few in my lifetime.

JEREMIAH 32:  17   “IT IS YOU WHO HAVE MADE THE HEAVENS AND EARTH BY YOUR GREAT POWER AND BY YOUR OUTSTRETCHED ARM!  NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR YOU.”

Nothing…….too…….hard……..for……..YOU……..GOD.

But our reality is that life is hard for us.  Because of the sin of man, yes GOD tells us there will be tribulation in this life.  It’s our reality, but GOD knows each of our hearts, our desires and our struggles. 

When one problem comes and gets solved, another is waiting right around the corner.  That is our world these days, it’s our reality.  But not HIS!

GOD’S WORD AND HIS PROMISES ARE TRUTH NOW AND FOR ALL OF ETERNITY.

JEREMIAH 32:  26-27  “THE WORD OF THE LORD CAME TO JEREMIAH. BEHOLD, I AM THE LORD, THE GOD OF ALL FLESH.  IS ANYTHING TOO HARD FOR ME?”

HE is the Almighty GOD – the great “I AM” of the universe.

ISAIAH 48:  12   “I AM THE FIRST, AND I AM THE LAST.”

GOD and HIS “I AM” statements in the Bible should be a great comfort to us.  Because HE is truth, HE is the great “I AM” and that is the true reality.  And what wonderful promises these statements are!  Here are a few:

  1. I AM the way and the truth and the life.  JOHN 14: 6
  2. I AM the bread of life.  JOHN 6: 35
  3. I AM the true vine.  JOHN 15: 1
  4. I AM the light of the world.  JOHN 8: 12
  5. I AM the gate.  JOHN  10: 7
  6. I AM the Good Shepherd.  JOHN 10: 11
  7. I AM the Resurrection and the Life.  JOHN 11:25

GOD, the great I AM is the way for us, HE is our truth and light.  HE is our redeemer and friend.  HE provides and comforts and stays.  HE never leaves us or forsakes us and HE guides us into all truth.  HE is our reality, HE is our strength and our peace.

GOD’S promises and HIS Holy WORD are very different from our reality and all we know.  It’s HIS upside down economy.  But HIS yoke is an easy one, so easy it is hard to grasp for some.  Just believe in GOD’S SON, HIS SON JESUS!  Believe that HE died on the Cross for your sins.

If this is what you believe then, this is your reality today. Embrace it!   GOD is so misunderstood by the world, but we don’t misunderstand.  We don’t because our eyes and hearts have been opened.  When we know HIM and HIS word that HE gave to us over 2000 years ago, then we know with all our heart and all our soul and all our minds, that the Alpha and the Omega is truly the GREAT I AM!

ISAIAH  41: 10  “SO DO NO FEAR, FOR I AM WITH YOU; DO NOT BE DISMAYED, FOR I AM YOUR GOD.”

  3. God’s promises are steady even when life isn’t. What feels hard to us is never too hard for Him.

    We must Continue to trust Him … He is our Peace, Strength, and Truth.

      2. Hey Willie……Good Friday to you and may you and yours have a very blessed Easter. This will be first year I am missing all the Easter services at Church. But will be watching on line…….so thankful for that. Remember YOU are LOVED today!

      4. Oh thank you Willie. It has been slow going and I’m trying to listen to my body and praying for GOD to heal me in HIS time. HE is the Great Physician and I give HIM all the glory for that! YOU are loved today and precious in my thoughts Willie!!

      8. Well that camera is mid-way in the sanctuary and I often sit in the row by it. But surely never on camera. That is left for Adam and our crew that sings……as it should!! YOU are loved and yes I always think of you watching as I am watching and worshipping too! HUGS today Willie! From AZ!
