Since the beginning of the New Year, I have felt a deeper longing to draw near and go deep with GOD.  I feel HIM pulling me (I don’t know where) except to be close, to be at peace no matter what is going on around me, and to walk more confidently with HIM.

WHAT IS TOUCHING YOUR SOUL THESE DAYS?  Leave me a comment.

PSALM 84:2   “MY SOUL LONGS, YES, FAINTS FOR THE COURTS OF THE LORD; MY HEART AND FLESH SING FOR JOY TO THE LIVING GOD.”

What touches your soul deeply these days?  Anything?  Because GOD is the maker of our souls, HE certainly knows how to touch our souls and how to get our true attention.  HE has HIS way of making us stop and stand in awe or bringing us to tears over something we never expected.

Why does GOD do this?  It must be that HE knows exactly what touches us deep down, each of us in our own unique way.  What touches me might not mean as much to you, but that is why we each are so different.

I remember as a young girl my Dad pointing out particular things around me like trees, sunsets or sunrises and at the time I didn’t get it, but my Dad did and his zeal for what he was looking at made it’s point.  His soul was being touched by the Almighty GOD.

We all strive so much in this life, always doing instead of sitting in HIS quiet rest. Just to be still is to let your soul find HIS amazing peace that goes beyond any understanding. 

PSALM 131:  2   “SURELY I HAVE STILLED AND QUIETED MY SOUL……”

Over time I think we figure out how broken and unsatisfying this world of ours is.  So many people are searching for this soul comfort and this soul satisfaction.  Are you sharing today with someone the peace that you have found with your SAVIOR?  Because in all the chaos, HIS peace does stand apart from it.

JEREMIAH 29:  14  “I WILL BE FOUND BY YOU, DECLARES THE LORD…….”

HE will be found by us, because HE is the Soul-Maker!  HE knows what will touch our souls deeply and the gift of HIS grace finds us and gives us the gift of HIS peace or the gift of awe.  It may be a sunset or full moon, or HIS implanted word, but whatever that may be, HE will be found by us.

PSALM 139:  14   “I WILL PRAISE YOU, FOR I AM FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE; MARVELOUS ARE YOUR WORKS, AND THAT MY SOUL KNOWS VERY WELL.”

Let’s praise the Soul-Maker today, the ONE who knows exactly how to get our attention, who knows how to touch us deeply within.  HE is faithful to us and continues to draw us to HIM.  May our praise and worship be authentic and may our continued search for the ONE who created us, touch our souls.

PSALM 86:  4  “BRING JOY TO YOUR SERVANT, FOR TO YOU, O LORD I LIFT UP MY SOUL.”
