Doxology is a big word to me however it means: doxa (glory) and logos (word).  So doxology can mean a hymn or a statement of praise.

WHAT IS YOUR PRAISE TODAY?

We were created to return praise to our CREATOR, the ALMIGHTY GOD, ELOHIM.  ELOHIM is the Hebrew word for GOD and when we praise HIM, we remember HE alone is the ONE who created Heaven and earth, separated light from darkness and gave us the seas and the land.  HE has created all things.

PRAISE YOUR CREATOR TODAY

We are HIS children and therefore we should give endless praise to the ONE who has created glorious things!  We are surrounded by HIS glory every day and HE gives us the sunrise and sunsets as a gift……a gift that we should notice and praise HIM for. 

GOD in all HIS glory has that glory reflected in all things:  the sun, moon, stars, sunrises and sunsets, flowers, birds, mountains and the sea.  

ALL CREATION IS GLORIOUS, BECAUSE GOD IS GLORIOUS

NUMBERS 14: 10  “BUT THE GLORY OF THE LORD APPEARED AT THE TENT OF MEETING TO ALL THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL.”

From the beginning GOD created us to be oriented towards glory!  It’s why a sunrise or sunset can take our breath away.  It’s why we stand in awe by the ocean and are overwhelmed by it’s sight and sound of the waves.  And don’t we take pictures to remember all HIS glory?  Maybe we should check ourselves today……are our pictures more of HIS glory or more of us?  

DRAW NEAR TO GOD AND SEE HIS GLORY EVEN MORE

We see glory and we also speak and sing glory to HIM.  This can happen in church or even in your car.  But praise lifted up can and is quite glorious.  You then are doxological if you praise, worship and are drawn to HIS glory. 

So I have a question:  what today captures your glory attention.  Make sure you name it and then praise GOD for it.  Stop and pay attention otherwise all HIS glory may pass you by!

Can’t take a walk?  Then gaze out a window.  There is something of HIS glory to be seen today.  GOD has a way of placing glory in front of us……we just need to open our eyes and quit taking the world around us for granted.

I don’t know about you, but I would like to become more of a glory hunter this year…….

ROMANS 11:  36   “FOR FROM HIM AND THROUGH HIM AND TO HIM ARE ALL THINGS.  TO HIM BE GLORY FOREVER.”

Oh, how HIS word point us to glory and how glorious our GOD is!  So let’s not just sing glory in Church on Sunday, let’s name it and pursue it all week long. You will find it lifts your spirit and your praises even more. Let’s all become glory hunters.  Our GOD created us to be and to seek glory with all our hearts.

EXODUS 24:  17   “NOW THE APPEARANCE OF THE GLORY OF THE LORD WAS LIKE A DEVOURING FIRE ON THE TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN IN THE SIGHT OF THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL.”
