YOU HAVE ALL YOU NEED

When You Have JESUS, you have everything!

I remember sitting once in the stunned silence of knowing and hearing the words: breast cancer.

There are words that we hear that can break our souls right in two.  There are situations that seem to take away from us everything that we knew as normal and your life is just shattered into a million pieces on the floor.

2 SAMUEL  22: 7 a  “IN MY DISTRESS I CALLED UPON THE LORD; TO MY GOD I CALLED.”

In the darkness of the night, I have learned that when I have my GOD, I have everything I need.  And when I pray, I remember this:

THE WORLD CAN TAKE EVERYTHING FROM YOU, BUT IN THE END, YOU HAVE THE LORD YOUR GOD AND THAT IS ALL THAT MATTERS.

When GOD is your single purpose, then you have everything you need.

2 SAMUEL 22:  7b  “FROM HIS TEMPLE HE HEARD MY VOICE, AND MY CRY CAME TO HIS EARS.”

Don’t we really have all we will ever need knowing that the GOD of the universe hears our cries?  Take comfort in this Christian.

And don’t we really have all we need knowing that the GOD of all wisdom and comfort will comfort us in our distress?

As I sat in my distress 3 years ago asking why, why cancer and why me, GOD heard my cry for peace and understanding and HE gave me a lifeline with HIS Holy word.  HE told me with HIS still small voice to not be frightened with the diagnosis and to stay strong and have courage because HE alone would carry me though.  And HE did!  Praise GOD!

I wouldn’t wish this cancer road on anyone……..there is anxiety with each test, each mammogram and ultrasound.  But when I walk into Ironwood Cancer Center, I know GOD is with me, walking beside me, holding my hand and so therefore……..

WITH GOD I HAVE EVERYTHING I NEED.

GOD supplies and GOD gives grace.  That is what we need, that is what we long for.  Honestly we have all we could ever need in this life because we have all we need in………HIM!!

PSALM 23:  1   “THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD;  I HAVE ALL THAT I NEED.”

Mine wasn’t breast cancer, but God carried me through my devastation, was with me every step, gave me comfort and support, and guided me through to a “new normal.”

God is ever faithful and good.

  2. Maxine, you are a true example of a Warrior of Faith, not a worrier. You continue to overcome every battle and claim victory in Jesus Name. How you keep walking with the Lord by your side without losing faith is something many of us struggle with, and I pray that your testimony serves as a message of assurance to others, myself included.

The Lord does not give us pain or sorrow to break us. He does not want us to be lost, but rather to draw near to Him, to know that He is with us and will never forsake us.

Keep fighting, Sister, and keep being that beautiful example of holding on to both faith and hope. I may stumble at times, but I continue to see God’s mercy and grace through stories like yours.

To God be all the Glory and Praise.

    YOU ARE LOVED…

    1. Thank you Willie, your words here made me cry. I often wonder if what I write is a true example of my faith. All I know is that GOD continues to walk alongside me and you too. It’s all because HE loves us and died in our place. Our GOD is truly glorious!
      YOU are loved too!

      1. Amen 🙏 Our God truly is glorious … He walks beside us through every trial, reminding us we’re never alone. One thing we often forget, and many just don’t have the faith to believe, is that even in our deepest pain and sorrow, He’s still working for our good. I know it’s hard sometimes, but if we don’t have faith and hope, what then do we have and what promises do we have to look forward to? Keep shining His light, my Dear Sister. You Are deeply Loved and Appreciated. 🙏
