There are times in my neighborhood where I notice that a someone picked up trash alongside a path I walk.  We all can be that someone.  A someone who is willing to go the extra mile……..someone willing to do more than what is asked of them.

And isn’t that just what JESUS requires of us?  To be that someone who doesn’t care what the world thinks of them, instead he or she cares what JESUS thinks of them.  Our reputation with the world can be one thing, but then with JESUS, it can be quite another.

ARE YOU HIS SOMEONE?

Are we willing to do what others won’t due because when we do, we do it all for CHRIST?

COLOSSIANS 3: 23   “WHATEVER YOU DO, WORK AT IT WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AS WORKING FOR THE LORD, NOT FOR HUMAN MASTERS…….”

Go that extra mile, do what others won’t or can’t do.  Be that someone who will give or be kind in all situations…….because you are doing for the LORD.  Be that someone who GOD smiles down upon because you know that your reward is not here in the temporal, it is waiting for you in eternity.

When we are HIS someone, we are HIS salt and light on the earth.  We must shine for JESUS in all the darkness, because then who will go?  Who will, if not you?  You who are HIS someone!

1 CHRONICLES 11:  17   “DAVID LONGED FOR WATER AND SAID “OH, THAT SOMEONE WOULD GET ME A DRINK OF WATER FROM THE WELL NEAR THE GATE OF BETHLEHEM!”

And how about this one…….

MARK 15:  36  “AND SOMEONE RAN AND FILLED A SPONGE WITH SOUR WINE, PUT IT ON A REED AND GAVE IT TO HIM TO DRINK…….”

We read of many someones in the Bible, those who are nameless.  But that is ok because GOD knows who they were and who they are now.  That is all that truly matters!

EVERY SOMEONE IS ONE WHO JESUS SEES

So take comfort Christian, you may be that someone today.  Be HIS someone today and do whatever you do for HIS glory, not yours.  Be HIS intentional someone, kind, tender-hearted and gracious.  Your reward for being that someone awaits you.

PSALM 90:  17   “MAY THE FAVOR OF THE LORD OUR GOD REST ON US; ESTABLISH THE WORK OF OUR HANDS FOR US – YES, ESTABLISH THE WORK OF OUR HANDS.”
