OUR WALKING

We walk by faith, not by sight.

Walking is a general principle for us and it is something we do every day.  From the moment we rise, we walk through our day.  But walking for the Christian means quite a different thing.  It is a possession of life, a progress through life using our faith to live, eat and even breathe.

The Bible is full of scripture that refers to this walk or walking…….

2 JOHN 1: 6   “AND THIS IS LOVE:  THAT WE WALK IN OBEDIENCE TO HIS COMMANDS.

JESUS said  to a crowd gathered that we should “walk while you have the light so that darkness doesn’t overtake you.”  JOHN 12: 35

We can walk in faith, or walk in darkness.  Let us choose HIS light to guide us especially when we don’t know where we are going.  Let’s look for signs along the way and make sure what we are reading is from HIM.

Walking signifies activity…….walking in the fruit of HIS love.

1 JOHN 2: 6   “WHOEVER CLAIMS TO ABIDE IN HIM MUST WALK AS JESUS WALKED.”

True believers are always walking forward, towards the goal, the prize of the upward call of JESUS.  We walk forward, not backward, always rejoicing in a new day and how we will walk through it, with HIS hand upon us.  There is no walking alone………ever.  Once JESUS has us, it is for life……..a walking in HIS ways.  This is perseverance.

The true Christian just keeps on going, keeps on walking never giving up because of the hope they hold in their hearts.  Further walking is a given even if there may be stumbling along the path before them.  They know it’s ok to stumble and fall because JESUS holds them up by HIS gracious right hand!

We have each other to walk with.  It is by HIS grace and favor if you have family or a friend to walk alongside you in the hard times.  Let’s all walk together as HIS Church and HIS family.

AMOS 3: 3   “DO TWO WALK TOGETHER, UNLESS THEY HAVE AGREED TO MEET?”

In our Christian walks, let’s find someone to walk with.  Two are better than one!  Continue your walk today, bravely and with steady feet.  The Savior is right there with you and with me.  This walking by faith is an amazing gracious journey with GOD………let’s continue.

PROVERBS 10: 9   “WHOEVER WALKS IN INTEGRITY WALKS SECURELY, BUT HE WHO MAKES HIS WAYS CROOKED WILL BE FOUND OUT.”

  1. So grateful that we get to walk with Him by our side always and we get to have fellow believers to walk alongside us. May we indeed walk in obedience to Him, choosing His way, always.
