Ever notice how loud things are getting these days? People are aggressive and in each other faces yelling at one another.  There seems to be an increasing need for everyone to be heard.

And it seems to be that everyone who wants to be heard think that their view is the right view.  Often it is not.  It is sad that there is all this yelling and no listening going on.  It’s all over social media and in our news feeds.  People are saying and doing outrageous things.  People are making Tik Tok videos in all kinds of ways, just to be heard.  

THERE IS A GREAT AND GRACIOUS GOD WHO WILL LISTEN IF WE JUST TURN TO HIM.

Ann Voskamp says in her devotional book:  The Way of Abundance this:

“WE CAN’T LET OUR INCREASING NEED TO BE HEARD DECREASE OUR NEED TO BE COMPASSIONATE.”

Do you need to be heard because you feel no one is listening?  Because there is a faithful ONE who is always ready to hear you, because HE knew you before you were even born.

2 CHRONICLES 6: 21  “AND LISTEN FROM HEAVEN YOUR DWELLING PLACE, AND WHEN YOU HEAR, FORGIVE.”

We have GOD’S ear if we will humble ourselves and pray to HIM.  HE is an excellent listener.  And when we decrease on our knees, HE increases in HIS power over us.  When we decrease, then our need to be heard by our Creator should increase more and our need of the world to hear should diminish. 

A FAITHFUL AND HOLY GOD HEARS THE HEARTS OF HIS PEOPLE!

PSALM 28: 2   “HEAR MY CRY FOR MERCY AS I CALL TO YOU FOR HELP, AS I LIFT UP MY HANDS TOWARD YOUR MOST HOLY PLACE.”

HE hears our cries when we humbly come before HIM………every hour of every day, year after year HE is faithful in this.  When no one else will listen to us……..HE will.  

We all seem to be so needy………only GOD can supply what we truly need.  And why?  Because HE sent us HIS beloved SON to show us how to live a life before a HOLY GOD who supplies all we would ever need.

CHRIST listened and then HE loved.  We need to do more of this these days.  Loving HIM requires of us to love and listen to others more not less!

Today could be the day you cut back on the social media more and listen more to neighbors and friends.  Listen to their hearts and then take that before GOD and intercede for them in prayer.  HE listens to broken hearts and HE loves HIS children.  GOD listens when the world won’t.  GOD listens in the early morning quiet.  So go to HIM today………HE is a gracious and loving GOD waiting with a listening ear.

ISAIAH 34: 1   “COME HEAR AND LISTEN, O NATIONS OF THE EARTH.  LET THE WORLD AND EVERYTHING IN IT HEAR MY WORDS.”
