A couple of weeks ago, our Pastor Adam said this:  wear the GOSPEL on your face.  What a great reminder it was.  We need to do a check on ourselves.  Do we walk around with the joy that we know JESUS or do we walk around with a scowl upon our faces?  Because joy and light will draw people to you.  That is the grace of the gospel.

1 PETER 2: 9   “BUT YOU ARE A CHOSEN RACE, A ROYAL PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR HIS OWN POSSESSION, THAT YOU MAY PROCLAIM THE EXCELLENCIES OF HIM WHO CALLED YOU OUT OF DARKNESS INTO HIS MARVELOUS LIGHT.”

HIS marvelous light…….a light that we alone cannot produce.  It’s HIS existence within us.  Let the light of the gospel shine upon your face no matter your circumstances, because you are never alone.  HE is with you everyday.  

JOHN 12:  36  “BELIEVE IN THE LIGHT WHILE YOU HAVE THE LIGHT, SO THAT YOU MAY BECOME CHILDREN OF LIGHT.”

Children of light……..children called out of darkness.  Let the light of CHRIST shine upon your face because it comes from your heart, a heart held by love and a heart in love with the SAVIOR of the world.

I have the honor of greeting at my Church.  And I do see faces that reflect CHRIST and others that don’t.  Some carry the weight of the world upon them.  And you can see their hearts are broken and scarred by this busted up world of ours.

2 CORINTHIANS 4: 6   “FOR GOD, WHO SAID, LET LIGHT SHINE OUT OF DARKNESS, HAS SHOWN IN OUR HEARTS TO GIVE THE LIGHT OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE GLORY OF GOD IN THE FACE OF JESUS CHRIST.”

The light shines in our hearts so that it may be displayed upon our faces.  It’s the GOSPEL of JESUS, it’s the love of HIM who is this marvelous light.  And we are HIS hands and feet of this GOSPEL that shines so brightly before all to see.

HEBREWS 4: 12   “FOR THE WORD OF GOD IS ALIVE AND ACTIVE.  SHARPER THAN ANY DOUBLE-EDGED SWORD, IT PENETRATES EVEN TO DIVIDING SOUL AND SPIRIT, JOINTS AND MARROW; IT JUDGES THE THOUGHTS AND ATTITUDES OF THE HEART.”

We have the word and we have the words, because we have the gospel to share…….so begin by wearing it upon your face today.  Then be ready to give an answer to anyone drawn to the light……that marvelous light of CHRIST!

LUKE 11:  36   “THEREFORE, IF YOUR WHOLE BODY IS FULL OF LIGHT, AND NO PART OF IT DARK, IT WILL BE JUST AS FULL OF LIGHT AS WHEN A LAMP SHINES ITS LIGHT ON YOU.”
