JESUS came to us as a gift but did you know that HE also is an ever present guest?  JESUS is always and forever with us and HE told us so in HIS word…….

MATTHEW 28: 20   “AND BEHOLD, I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS, TO THE END OF THE AGE.”

Always with us, always there, always willing to listen to us.  I read recently in a David Jeremiah devotional that in all our activities great and small, we should know that JESUS is our ever present guest.

But, do we treat HIM as our guest?  When we invite a guest to our home, usually we put our best foot forward, we clean things up, maybe put the best china out and we welcome them with open arms.  JESUS is a different kind of guest however, HE doesn’t want us to clean ourselves up and go to all that trouble.  NO as a guest into your life and heart HE welcomes us and says: come as you are!

ISAIAH 58: 9   “THEN YOU WILL CALL, AND THE LORD WILL ANSWER; YOU WILL CRY FOR HELP, AND HE WILL SAY: HERE I AM.”

HE is our ever present special guest and HIS burden is light.  Let’s be intentional to invite HIM into our lives and wherever we go.  Invite HIM along, invite HIM into your heart and mind.  Because JESUS wants to be with us.

The cries of our hearts should be for HIS presence, a presence like none other.  HE is our priority, our constant and steadfast helper in time of need.  JESUS is our ever present Savior.  We are HIS and HE is ours.  

I felt HIS amazing presence and peace when I invited HIM into all of my cancer treatments.   I have never felt HIM that close to me in all of my life.  HE heard the cry of my heart, that alone feeling, that hopeless feeling of life slipping away and HE came to me in small ways, but consistent ways and I never felt HIM leave.  HE came and HE stayed all thru, sitting beside me and holding my hand.   Cancer does this to you, it places you on an island, in a complicated world of uncertainty and fear. 

Let’s learn to treat HIM as the amazing guest that HE is!  HE is not a genie in a bottle, ready to give us our every wish.  HE is a loving and faithful FATHER, our REDEEMER and our CORNERSTONE.  So invite HIM……..invite HIM into your home, your car, your work and wherever your foot treads!  HE is our ever present guest!

JOSHUA 1: 3   “EVERY PLACE THAT THE SOLE OF YOUR FOOT WILL TREAD UPON, I HAVE GIVEN TO YOU.”

Every place……..every step and every path…….invite JESUS along.  Invite HIM into your relationships, your prayers and all of your days.  And you will find what a perfect ever present guest HE truly is!
