SOW IN LIFE-LONG LEARNING

YOU ARE NEVER TOO OLD TO LEARN ABOUT GOD.

Libraries were not meant to just visit, they were meant to dwell there.  How often in my life have I learned or studied in a library.  I love books and love to read.  But my fav book  of all time to read and study is the Bible.  And if we are wise we will use our time to study and learn all we can about GOD and HIS word………let’s never stop learning!  Sow in learning and then time spent with GOD will never be a waste of time!  It will be time well spent.

JERIMIAH 31:  33   “BUT THIS IS THE NEW COVENANT I WILL MAKE WITH THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL AFTER THOSE DAYS,” SAYS THE LORD.  “I WILL PUT MY INSTRUCTIONS DEEP WITHIN THEM, AND I WILL WRITE THEM ON THEIR HEARTS.  I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY WILL BE MY PEOPLE.”  NLT

GOD calls us to learn all we can about HIM and HIS word……….our learning should never end, but we have to be intentional about it.  We need to submit what we do know and what we are influenced by and keep an open mind and open heart when we study GOD’S eternal words for us.

WHAT A TREASURE IT IS TO THINK THAT ONE OF GOD’S GREAT GRACES IS THAT WE ARE ENROLLED IN HIS MASTER CLASS WRITTEN JUST FOR US!

I remember that going to school and learning day after day was more of a chore.  But when you are finished with school and you have time on your hands, you miss those days.  Learning now is exciting and brings joy to the spirit.  Learning is fun and engaging because your soul desires to know GOD more………to draw near.  Our study of the LORD is endless, because of who HE is:  the eternal Sovereign GOD of the universe.  But  what a special class HE has for us………our lives lived each and every day for HIM and learning and growing along the way.

Let’s believe that HE teaches us every single day in ways that we don’t even understand, but someday we will.   HE knows us better than we know ourselves and HE knows what we need to learn, so we will never be too old to learn.  That is the great news and that is HIS means of grace for us.  This all ties in with a current class I am taking at Church…….it has encouraged me in my learning about GOD’S graces.  I’m learning and I’m studying HIS word.

MATTHEW 11:29   “TAKE MY YOKE UPON YOU, AND LEARN FROM ME, FOR I AM GENTLE AND LOWLY IN HEART, AND YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS.”

Isn’t it wonderful that we can learn and learn more and never stop?!  For the rest of our lives we can sow in learning because we will reap it’s rewards.  There will be different seasons of learning and growing and there will be different ways to learn through study, books, classes, media, videos and recordings.  Let’s learn HIS word and know it well.  It’s important now more than ever that we do this because there are counterfeits all around us.  Commit today to be a life-long learner of JESUS CHRIST.  Be HIS disciple and sit daily at HIS feet.  We can be certain that HE is and will share all truth in wisdom and love with us.  Because we can trust HIM and HIS word.

Our GOD is the greatest teacher we could ever have because HE loves us in great and gracious ways.  Let’s love HIM back by committing to being a life-long learner with open hearts and open minds that are willing to hear HIS words that grow us and then mature us in HIS name.

COLOSSIANS 1: 9   “WE CONTINUALLY ASK GOD TO FILL YOU WITH THE KNOWLEDGE OF HIS WILL THROUGH ALL THE WISDOM AND UNDERSTANDING THAT THE SPIRIT GIVES…….”

  2. YES! As we learn, He will give us more desire to learn about Him.

I think of 2 Peter 1.5And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ

  3. I couldn’t agree more… libraries and learning are such treasures. It’s wonderful to hear how much you value the time spent studying and reading, especially when it comes to diving into the Bible. Your passion for continuous learning and growing in faith is truly inspiring.

Jeremiah 31:33 is a beautiful reminder of how deeply God desires to be part of our hearts and lives, guiding us through His word. I love the idea of being enrolled in God’s master class, it’s such a comforting thought that He is constantly teaching us and drawing us closer to Him.
