Is there a time for us all when we realize that we are unworthy before GOD? This thought alone turns us to JESUS, the only ONE who is truly worthy; the only ONE who died for our sins, for our unworthiness.
This idea of unworthiness should promote dependence upon a worthy GOD who is Sovereign over all of creation and who supplies all our needs. HE is truly sufficient for everything in our lives.
2 CORINTHIANS 3: 5 “NOT THAT WE ARE SUFFICIENT IN OURSELVES TO CLAIM AS ANYTHING AS COMING FROM US, BUT OUR SUFFICENCY IS FROM GOD…….”
JESUS alone gives us all we need, not this world, or a person, or material thing, no none is worthy anyway, so why do we grasp for these?
Our unworthiness is exactly why GOD is so worthy! Because all have sinned……..
ROMANS 3: 23 “FOR EVERYONE HAS SINNED; WE ALL FALL SHORT OF GOD’S GLORIOUS STANDARD.” NLT
Even though we fall short, even though we are unworthy, JESUS STILL CHOSE US! A worthy GOD still chooses HIS unworthy people!
So today dear reader as Oswald Chambers has said: “keep your soul steadfastly related to GOD.” Remain in HIM, stay close and even when you feel and know you are unworthy, remain humble before a worthy GOD.
2 SAMUEL 22: 4 “I CALL UPON THE LORD, WHO IS WORTHY TO BE PRAISED.”
Don’t forget JESUS on the Cross who died totally worthy, so that we too could be called worthy. And this was all accomplished by HIS grace, HIS beautiful grace.
Let’s remind ourselves today of the worthiness of JESUS CHRIST and give HIM all the praise and honor HE deserves because HE is worthy to be praised!
REVELATION 4: 11 “YOU ARE WORTHY, O LORD, TO RECEIVE GLORY AND HONOR AND POWER; FOR YOU CREATED ALL THINGS, AND BY YOUR WILL THEY EXIST AND WERE CREATED.”
