Maybe all there is for today is for you to sit quiet and be still.   Sitting still before the LORD is the best thing you can do in your day because…….

MAYBE FOR TODAY ALL THERE TRULY IS……….IS HIS LOVE FOR YOU.

When we are drowning in our sin, caught up in all our busyness, or overwhelmed by our troubles we forget who GOD is…….

ISAIAH 51: 15  “I AM THE LORD YOUR GOD, WHO STIRS UP THE SEA SO THAT IT’S WAVES ROAR – THE LORD OF HOSTS IS HIS NAME.”

We forget who GOD is, so we must remind ourselves every day and sometimes the only way to do that is to sit quiet………be still and listen. 

ISAIAH 52: 6  “THEREFORE MY PEOPLE SHALL KNOW MY NAME.  THEREFORE IN THAT DAY THEY SHALL KNOW THAT IT IS I WHO SPEAKS; HERE I AM.”

Thinking back over my life, I wish I would have been more of a Mary rather than a Martha.  But the good news for each of those women was that JESUS loved them, just as they were, and HE loves us too.

For those who believe, whether you are a Martha or a Mary, you understand that HIS love is unchanging and it is matchless and powerful.  JESUS love compares to none and our very souls need it…….

ISAIAH 54: 10  “FOR THE MOUNTAINS MAY DEPART AND THE HILLS BE REMOVED, BUT MY STEADFAST LOVE SHALL NOT DEPART FROM YOU…….”

Maybe all you are holding in your hands today……..is HIS loving word.  Because HIS word is HIS heart for HIS people, people just like you and me.  People hungry for the truth and needing someone to love us and hold us tight when we need it.

And maybe all we need to do today……..is to trust in HIS great love for us.  Because GOD has said this:

ISAIAH 55:3  “INCLINE YOUR EAR, AND COME TO ME; HEAR THAT YOUR SOUL MAY LIVE; AND I WILL MAKE WITH YOU AN EVERLASTING COVENANT, MY STEADFAST, SURE LOVE FOR DAVID.”

The LORD loved David and his heart and HE loves your heart too.  GOD’S love for HIS people has lasted for generations and it is there for us too, right now in 2024.  We need only to humbly ask for HIM to come near and for HIS special love to change us and remake us……..

1 JOHN 4:19  “WE LOVE BECAUSE HE FIRST LOVED US.”

So today remember HIS great love because maybe all you can do for today is to…….

JOSHUA 23: 11  “BE VERY CAREFUL, THEREFORE, TO LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD.”
