Our wants and our needs are two different things.  Sometimes what we want may not be good for us.  And often what we need we tend to ignore.  GOD knows our best needs and supplies them sometimes without us even knowing. 

Often what I want, GOD doesn’t supply and for good reason.  What I want often is an instant answer to my problems.  I want the problem solved immediately…….and GOD says no.  So in the waiting……..I learn and grow.  And then what I have gleaned from the problem is what GOD wants and what HE is doing within me. 

Oh this year if we would allow ourselves to be transformed more on the inside rather than the outside!  But that means I need to make space for JESUS.  HE has moved in, but I need to let HIM move in even more. 

1 TIMOTHY 1: 16  “BUT I RECEIVED MERCY FOR THIS REASON, THAT IN ME, AS THE FOREMOST, JESUS CHRIST MIGHT DISPLAY HIS PERFECT PATIENCE AS AN EXAMPLE TO THOSE WHO WERE TO BELIEVE IN HIM FOR ETERNAL LIFE.”

The more I allow this space for HIM, the more HE is displayed through me.  Others will see HIM in me, even more than I realize.   Less of me and more of HIM!  Because this life is all about HIM anyway……..so what is necessary this year……..is……..this:

JUST GIVE US JESUS!

HE alone is our everything…….HE meets all our needs and guides our wants.  But we need to submit and allow those changes to occur.  It’s a New year……..new beginnings can and will happen with JESUS.  Start with HIM.  Learn what is HIS heart, draw near and seek to abide daily.  Read HIS words in red and be reshaped by HIM.  Open yourself up for change and transformation. 

2 PETER 3: 18  “BUT GROW IN THE GRACE AND KNOWLEDGE OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.  TO HIM BE THE GLORY BOTH NOW AND TO THE DAY OF ETERNITY.”

HE supplies all our needs and changes our wants.  What we used to want, we don’t anymore.  Each year HE grows us spiritually when we allow that space for HIM, for change, for grace.   We no longer own our lives, because HE does.  May GOD receive the glory for the transformation within us.

This year allow for more change to happen, even if you don’t want it to be.  Because GOD moves in mysterious ways, ways that we won’t understand this side of Heaven.   And HIS change in us is always good!   This is the wonder and mystery of JESUS and the more we know of HIM, the more we love HIM too.

1 JOHN 4: 16  “AND WE HAVE KNOWN AND BELIEVED THE LOVE THAT GOD HAS FOR US.  GOD IS LOVE, AND HE WHO ABIDES IN LOVE ABIDES IN GOD, AND GOD IN HIM.”

What is necessary this year for us……….is JESUS!  Make space in your soul for HIM, grow close to HIM, honor HIM and love what HE loves.  This is abiding……this is loving……this is growing.  May HE be your one necessary this year, more than anyone or anything.  Grow to where you can’t live a moment without HIM and experience HIS many abundant graces for you and your life, because you are so loved by HIM today, tomorrow and for all of eternity.

JOHN 3: 16  “FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, THAT WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE.”
