HEAVENSREEF

According to Charles Spurgeon nothing but GOD’S free favor can bring deliverance.  It is GOD’S unmerited favor upon us because HE loves us.  HIS favor and love is nothing we have ever earned or deserved.  But GOD is love and HIS favor upon us is free. 

WE cannot take credit for our own salvation……..only JESUS gets that credit.  Only GOD gives us the beauty of our salvation because we are sinners and we need a Savior with favor.

PSALM 30: 5  “FOR HIS ANGER LASTS ONLY A MOMENT BUT HIS FAVOR, A LIFETIME.”

Do we see HIS favor upon us?  We may have hardships, disease and many conflicts, but GOD’S favor is always present. 

And there is this too…….

ROMANS 2: 11  “FOR THERE IS NO FAVORITISM WITH GOD.”

If there is no favoritism with GOD that is a good thing.  Then we all receive HIS favor one way or another when we believe. 

PSALM 84: 11  “FOR THE LORD GOD IS A SUN AND SHIELD; THE LORD BESTOWS FAVOR AND HONOR.  NO GOOD THING DOES HE WITHHOLD FROM THOSE WHO WALK UPRIGHTLY.”

No good thing does HE withhold, because there is no favoritism with GOD.  Oh blessed are we who trust in HIM!

It is comforting to know that HIS favor upon you dear reader isn’t any more or less as it is for me. HIS unmerited favor is for everyone!  What a good and gracious GOD!  Hard as we try we cannot earn nor do we deserve this favor of the LORD.  Our works are filthy rags to HIM.  Let us receive HIS favor with humble hearts and minds and be thankful.

WE woke up this morning, no matter our condition, HIS favor is there.  Before the beginning of time, GOD’S favor was there and how wonderful that is!  In our sin condition, GOD sees and GOD knows and there is HIS favor.  What a blessing, what a wonderful GOD…….what a loving GOD, a GOD of grace and mercy!

LET’S BE THANKFUL THIS MORNING FOR HIS FAVOR UPON US……..UNMERITED AND LOVING!

Because of GOD’S divine decree, we are in HIS blessing of the spirit and it’s divine fruit.  HE gives us spiritual favor to walk each day through this life with HIS divine plan.

EPHESIANS 1: 3  “BLESSED BE THE GOD AND FATHER OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, WHO HAS BLESSED US IN CHRIST WITH EVERY SPIRITUAL BLESSING IN THE HEAVENLY PLACES……..”

We each have received a special gift, just for us, HIS favor too.  And so HIS favor is only through grace so……..it’s all grace!
