HEAVENSREEF

Oh pretty clothes.  We all love them and love to wear them.  Many people today are more concerned about their wardrobe in their closets rather than the wardrobe of their souls.

We all are guilty of this, more concerned about our outside appearance.  But what about the wardrobe of our souls?  What are we wearing there?

MATTHEW 6: 30  “BUT IF GOD SO CLOTHES THE GRASS OF THE FIELD, WHICH TODAY IS ALIVE AND TOMORROW IS THROWN INTO THE OVEN, WILL HE NOT MUCH MORE CLOTHE YOU, O YOU OF LITTLE FAITH?”

GOD graciously cares for all things…….including HIS creation and HIS children.  And HE clothes us with HIS salvation and HIS righteousness.

I wonder what HE sees in each of us, in our hearts.  We know that David had a heart for GOD and we do too.  But what we wear on the inside sometimes is ugly and self-absorbed.  GOD wants us to see HIM, only HIM and in so doing, we are changed to be like HIM and we are robed in HIS GODLY traits.  When we repent and ask for forgiveness, HE sees us how we ought to be and slowly works a good change within us.  Oh may we pray for this each day, for a pure and holy heart, a heart for GOD and no one else! 

May you and I spend some time today, asking HIM to robe our souls with HIS beauty and HIS righteousness.   May we become children of our faithful SAVIOR who seek after all those traits our inner souls really long for and for all those GOD breathed qualities which are:   peace, joy, love, goodness, faithfulness, patience, mercy and grace.   Because GOD knows how to clothe us the best.   May HE do that work in us for today and every day to come.

ISAIAH 61: 10  “I WILL GREATLY REJOICE IN THE LORD; MY SOUL SHALL EXULT IN MY GOD, FOR HE HAS CLOTHED ME WITH THE GARMENTS OF SALVATION; HE HAS COVERED ME WITH THE ROBE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS.”
