HEAVENSREEF

There are angels everywhere around us if we look carefully.  I’m not talking about the kind of angels we read about in Revelation, but the human kind.  Don’t doubt that there are many on this earth.   There are those who walk among us that can make us see humanity in a special light.

HEBREWS 1: 7  “IN SPEAKING OF THE ANGELS HE SAYS, “HE MAKES HIS ANGELS SPIRITS, AND HIS SERVANTS FLAMES OF FIRE.”

There are those who go above and beyond the average person in their giving of their time, talents and even their money.  They give beyond their abilities and never think about it.  They tend to hold the stuff of this world very loosely in their hands and because of their selflessness, humanity is the better for it.

Servants are stewards of their time and they use that time wisely.  But they also come from a heart of love and grace.  Like the scripture says above, HIS servants are flames of fire, flames of light and you will notice them. 

Sitting here in the waiting room of the cancer center, I see angels all around.  I see husbands and wives taking each other and waiting for one another as they go through chemo and radiation.  They patiently sit and occupy themselves with reading or using their phone as they wait for their loved one.  These are patient angels among us.

ECCLESIASTES 7: 8  “BETTER IS THE END OF A THING THAN ITS BEGINNING, AND THE PATIENT IN SPIRIT IS BETTER THAN THE PROUD IN SPIRIT.”

Earthly angels around us are not proud.  Their spirit is humble and loving. 

1 CORINTHIANS 13: 4  “LOVE IS PATIENT, LOVE IS KIND.  IT DOES NOT ENVY, IT DOES NOT BOAST, IT IS NOT PROUD.”

I also see an angel in paws in front of me.  There is a sweet lady in a wheelchair with her yellow lab service dog.  He is at her feet, watching her every move, giving his doggie life  as a comfort and a servant for her.  She is there for her husband and is patiently waiting too.  Her husband finally comes out, barely able to walk, but he makes it to her.  She smiles big and they turn to go with the dog walking slowly alongside them.

Just in this small room I see GOD’S hand and realize there is a much larger world that has HIS angels spread among all of humanity.  But they are among us and GOD has equipped them for HIS very special purpose.   Be very thankful today if you have one of these angels in your life.   And if you are an angel to someone, bless your heart and all that you do.  Just know that you are loved by GOD and especially by those you care for.

HEBREWS 13: 2  “DO NOT FORGET TO SHOW HOSPITALITY TO STRANGERS, FOR BY SO DOING SOME PEOPLE HAVE SHOWN HOSPITALITY TO ANGELS WITHOUT KNOWING IT.”
