It is a very small word really…….the word be. Yesterday we received in Church a nice little brochure telling us of all that is going on in Church coming in the Fall. Our Church uses the title “rhythms of life” a lot.
So in that rhythm we are to be inspired and awed by our Great GOD.
PSALM 34: 3 “OH, MAGNIFY THE LORD WITH ME, AND LET US EXALT HIS NAME TOGETHER.”
In that rhythm of life, let us strengthen one another as believers do through community and groups.
ACTS 2: 42 “AND THEY CONTINUED STEADFASTLY IN THE APOSTLES’ DOCTRINE AND FELLOWSHIP, IN THE BREAKING OF BREAD, AND IN PRAYERS.
Embracing who you are in your life means being used by GOD to serve your local Church and to influence those all around you.
MATTHEW 20: 28 “……..JUST AS THE SON OF MAN DID NOT COME TO BE SERVED, BUT TO SERVE, AND TO GIVE HIS LIFE A RANSOM FOR MANY.”
BE a grower following JESUS CHRIST……..study GOD’S word every day, remaining steadfast in it and then applying it to your life.
2 TIMOTHY 2: 2 “AND THE THINGS YOU HAVE HEARD FROM ME AMONG MANY WITNESSES, COMMIT THESE TO FAITHFUL MEN WHO WILL BE ABLE TO TEACH OTHERS ALSO.”
SO, that little word BE is guiding us in so many ways: be inspired, be strengthened, be encouraged, be used, be a follower, but most of all know this:
BE LOVED!
JOHN 14: 21 “WHOEVER HAS MY COMMANDMENTS AND KEEPS THEM, HE IT IS WHO LOVES ME. AND HE WHO LOVES ME WILL BE LOVED BY MY FATHER, AND I WILL LOVE HIM AND MANIFEST MYSELF TO HIM.”
