Ever feel a little raw around the edges?  I would say a lot of people are feeling this way.   The anger and hurt are showing in our society and maybe it’s because of all that is happening beyond our control.  As humans we have all sorts of feelings due to our circumstances, feelings that leave us raw sometimes daily. 

I would like to think that GOD sees us as raw material that HE forms in HIS hands as HE sees fit.  Kind of like the potter with the clay……..

JEREMIAH 18: 6  “AS THE CLAY IS IN THE POTTER’S HAND SO ARE YOU IN MY HAND.”

We are in HIS hands like clay, like raw material.  Remember your raw material is being remade into something beautiful.  The AUTHOR of the heavens is remaking you and shaping you……..

ISAIAH 40: 12  “WHO HAS MEASURED THE WATERS IN THE HOLLOW OF HIS HAND, MEASURED HEAVEN WITH A SPAN AND CALCULATED THE DUST OF THE EARTH IN A MEASURE?  WEIGHED THE MOUNTAINS IN SCALES AND THE HILLS IN A BALANCE?

Yes……..who but our GOD of the universe has done these things?  Who makes beauty out of ashes or beautiful vessels out of clay?

We all begin this life as raw material and GOD knows how we will turn out.  Our hearts are raw with life and GOD has a plan and we are pliable in HIS hands if we abide and remain close to HIM.

I don’t know about you, but I want to remain pliable, not hardened by the world.  I want GOD to continually grow me and remake me into HIS image.  I want to be able to bend when needed and not break.  I trust GOD for this,  I trust being in HIS hands more than anyone.  Do you?

LAMENTATIONS 4: 2  “THE PRECIOUS SONS OF ZION, WORTH THEIR WEIGHT IN FINE GOLD, HOW THEY ARE REGARDED AS EARTHEN POTS, THE WORK OF A POTTER’S HANDS!”

When you are HIS you are regarded and you are noticed……you are not invisible because HIS hands are always molding you into what HE would have you be.  HE molds your heart to be like HIS.

MATTHEW 5: 8  “BLESSED ARE THE PURE IN HEART, FOR THEY WILL SEE GOD.”

HE wants our hearts pure, HE wants our hearts molded in HIS hands, not hardened by the world.  So we need to choose, choose JESUS and remain raw in HIS hands.  Let HIM do HIS beautiful work within you.  It may and will take a lifetime, but that is what scripture tells us…….

HEBREWS 4: 3  “AND YET HIS WORKS HAVE BEEN FINISHED SINCE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD.”

HE will finish us and remake us as long as it takes and as long as our lives are, until HE takes us home.  While we live here we may feel raw and rough around the edges, but GOD knows how to soften those edges with HIS grace.    HE comes to us in our most difficult times, in our raw times and HE loves us like no one can.  HE is a compassionate GOD, gentle and caring.   HE makes our raw material into something pure and holy so that one day we can be where HE is. 

So it’s ok these days to feel raw and even helpless.  Surrender yourself into HIS hands…….trust the master POTTER today because HE knows what HE is doing with your raw material!

ISAIAH 64: 8  “BUT NOW, O LORD, YOU ARE OUR FATHER; WE ARE THE CLAY, AND YOU ARE OUR POTTER; WE ARE ALL THE WORK OF YOUR HAND.”
