Everyone has been or will be broken one time or another in their life…….some of us are way more broken than others.  I can’t explain why this is, it just is. 

WE ALL ARE THE WALKING WOUNDED

But our GOD sees this and HE knows.  Why?  Remember that CHRIST was broken too, for you and for me.  HE understands this brokenness we experience in our lives.  HE wept and HE had compassion on those around HIM and still does this for us today.

And when we break the bread of communion………aren’t our hearts breaking too?  We are broken and sinful and in need of our Savior who gets what it means to be broken.

MARK 14: 22  “AND AS THEY WERE EATING, HE TOOK BREAD, AND AFTER BLESSING IT, BROKE IT AND GAVE IT TO THEM, AND SAID, “TAKE, THIS IS MY BODY.”

And we remember to break bread, because we are broken people too.  And because our Savior remained steadfast all the way to the Cross for us, we who are saved, remain steadfast in HIS strength……..

BECAUSE THE WORLD BREAKS US AND HE CONTINUALLY REMAKES US!

So remember this today dear reader:   wounded warriors win!  They win because of CHRIST.  HIS death on the Cross and HIS resurrection is proof that with GOD……we will win.  Being wounded makes us into the warriors we are.

WE NEVER BATTLE ALONE.

The battle may be spiritual or physical, but none the less, a battle to be won or lost.  In our battles, CHRIST comes to us and says HE will walk with us until we get through to the other side.  But through it all, HE says we will become warriors, with strength and courage for the future.

BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO EXPERIENCE BATTLES, FOR THEY WILL BECOME WARRIORS FOR CHRIST.

JESUS IS YOUR BRAVE TODAY……..I just texted this to a dear friend warrior.   She is in a cancer battle that just this week took an unexpected turn.  And she said to me that she doesn’t feel brave.  So the battle is real and cannot be ignored for each of us.  If you feel brave today, remind another that they are brave too……with JESUS! 

ISAIAH 46: 6-9  “REMEMBER THIS AND BE BRAVE; TAKE IT TO HEART, YOU TRANSGRESSORS!  REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED LONG AGO, FOR I AM GOD, AND THERE IS NO OTHER; I AM GOD, AND NO ONE IS LIKE ME.”  CSB

HE is our GOD……like none other.  HE is your brave, your courage, your strength.  HE is your warrior too.  And remember when GOD spoke to Moses long ago, HE says to us today that HE will redeem us with HIS mighty arm.  HE is our true warrior and we are HIS army, chosen and loved.

Remember today wounded warrior……..that…….you…….win!  We win with CHRIST, because HE has already won the mighty battle of good over evil.  And because we are wounded warriors, we win alongside HIM too.
