I think it is interesting who remembers you and who doesn’t.  What is important to us very often is unimportant to someone else.  We might have a big day with a special event and those people you thought you would hear from forgot to remember you.  Honestly, what is important to us often doesn’t mean a hoot to anyone else!  I am learning this over and over in my life.  It keeps me humble and wanting to do better myself at remembering others.  As an example, I recently had eye surgery.  It was not an easy thing overall and has been a process of a couple of months.  People I thought would remember, didn’t even text me.  And there were those who remembered every day and sent well wishes.  And then there are some of you here on WordPress that remembered me……it warms my heart and thank you for remembering!

PHILIPPIANS 1: 3  “I THANK MY GOD EVERY TIME I REMEMBER YOU.”

I believe that people forgetting about us is a way that GOD keeps us in a humble spirit.  Maybe too many well wishes would instill pride that doesn’t belong there?  But no matter what, we all want to be remembered don’t we?  No matter who they are in importance to us, people will fail us, over and over.  And being forgotten over and over is a truly lonely feeling.  But there is Someone who meets us in our loneliness.  So let us remind ourselves of this fact……

GOD DOES NOT FORGET HIS CHILDREN, HIS BELOVED.

What a comfort it is to know that GOD sees every single detail, every day in our lives…..

JOB 28: 24  “FOR HE LOOKS TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH AND SEES EVERYTHING UNDER THE HEAVENS.”

How often I have said during the difficult things, the frustrations, the hurts and heartaches…….LORD, do you see me?  Do you hear me?

We know HIS plans are for us, to redeem us, to remake us and to love us like no one else will.  All of HIS plans are because people around us will forget……all because HE will remember and never forgets HIS promises to us!

The LORD sees us from the time we were born until we die.  There is no time that HE doesn’t see!  HE remembers us daily, weekly, yearly, hourly and every second.  What a comfort to know, HE abides with us continually now and forever.  HE never leaves, HE is to be trusted for this!  HE is a waiting ear to listen, a compassionate heart to answer and a comfort to us in our time of need. 

PSALM 37: 33 “THE LORD DIRECTS THE STEPS OF THE GODLY.  HE DELIGHTS IN EVERY DETAIL OF THEIR LIVES.”

There is only ONE we can count on…….JESUS.  And why?  Because HE died for us while we were still sinners!  Who on this earth would ever do that for us?  NO ONE!  People will fail us, friends too and even family.  But the LORD JESUS CHRIST never will fail us.  HE abides continually with us and says HE will never leave us!

JESUS CAN BE COUNTED ON TO REMEMBER US ALWAYS.

“JOHN 15: 16  “YOU DID NOT CHOOSE ME, BUT I CHOSE YOU…….”

We are chosen, not forsaken and never ever forgotten by our FATHER.  Remember this today Christian if you feel overlooked or not remembered.  It’s a wonder, because the GOD of the universe remembers you and sees you with delight. Take comfort in HIS words to you, embrace them and know HE knows exactly where you are on your path of life.  Run to HIM and HE will meet you with open arms…….let HIM be your all and all, and know deep down that HE will forever and ever without fail……..remember you!

PSALM 111: 5  “……..HE REMEMBERS HIS COVENANT FOREVER.”
