FILL SOMEONE’S HOLLOW SPACE

There really is too much of it now……..hurt, despair, emptiness and grief.  America has seen plenty in the past year.  And what about you dear one?  Where are you in all of this?  Is your soul filled or hollowed out?

Maybe what you are feeling is just plain worn out, or what you have recently been through is earth shattering.  Or just maybe, it was the small daily griefs of what used to be normal that we thought we knew……..are all gone?

I don’t have all the answers, but I do know SOMEONE who does!  Remember in all things…….GOD is there.  What seems impossible GOD can do because……

LUKE 1: 37  “FOR NOTHING WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD.”

Let’s embrace this scripture like never before and remember that we all do have those hollow spaces, spaces deep inside that need to be filled with something or someone.

And what about that hollow space that is there……that is nagging at you?  Well, GOD PUT IT THERE!  It’s just like HIM to create an empty space inside us that nothing on this earth could ever fill……

PROVERBS 8: 17  “I LOVE THOSE WHO LOVE ME, AND THOSE WHO SEARCH FOR ME FIND ME.”

We seem as humans to search in all the wrong places……Eve searched for knowledge and look where it got her!  When we turn to GOD after HE has opened our eyes, then HE fills those spaces in a gentle and kind way, a compassionate way and a loving way…….

MATTHEW 11: 29  “TAKE MY YOKE UPON YOU AND LEARN FROM ME, FOR I AM GENTLE AND HUMBLE IN HEART, AND YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS.”

The CREATOR’S love is like nothing else and HIS comfort fills our emptiness deep within.  Our souls need this soul comfort now more than ever.  Have you found it?

Our GOD is a compassionate and loving GOD.  Some think GOD is heartless and often wonder “why” would a loving GOD do this?  But those questions, those fears, are often born out of guilt and not knowing about GOD’S true character.

GOD’S true character can be found in HIS HOLY WORD, written for us so we would understand.  Some scripture is clear, some can be convicting and others are a mystery……but still, you cannot deny HIS love written there and how HE sent HIS SON to die on the Cross for us, because HE didn’t want to be without us.  HIS SON chose the nails for us……think about that for a moment……who does that?  Only JESUS…….the filler of hollow souls!

ONCE THE LORD FILLS YOUR HOLLOW SPACES AND YOUR BEATING ONE HEART…….HE ASKS YOU TO GIVE IT AWAY.

Our hollow spaces and hearts are filled with GOD’S overflowing love so we can give the love away to others who need filling too.  Your filled soul can help another…….are you ready?  Because GOD does not want us to keep all HIS love just for our selves……. it is immeasurable what HE has given us and we actually have an endless supply to give away.

EXODUS 34: 6  “THE LORD, THE LORD GOD, IS COMPASSIONATE AND GRACIOUS, SLOW TO ANGER, ABOUNDING IN LOVING DEVOTION AND FAITHFULNESS.”

Our heart’s true home is in the LORD and our desire should be to give our hearts away to those around us, those who are hollow right now.  Maybe GOD filled you completely today…..just so you could go and fill someone else!  Lovely are all HIS ways……so embrace and remember HIS love for you and all of humanity.  Then go, and fill someone’s hollow space and let them realize and learn of GOD’S special love for them.

1 THESSALONIANS 3: 12  “AND MAY THE LORD CAUSE YOU TO INCREASE AND OVERFLOW WITH LOVE FOR ONE ANOTHER AND FOR EVERYONE, JUST AS WE DO FOR YOU.”

  1. “HIS SON chose the nails for us”…this got me!

God bless you Maxine for this wonderful writeup.
Luke 19: 13 tells us to occupy till He, Jesus comes. We should make it a habit of filling other people’s hollow spaces 😊

    1. Thank you and it is all GOD! I started this post and had no idea how it would go……yes I heard a preacher say that HE CHOSE the nails for you…….it sure did get me at the time. Our Savior loves us so so much!

  2. Vickie wrote along similar lines yesterday, and, as with your post today, I think of Ps 23.5, “Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.”
This is why our cup runneth over. This oil of blessing is not to go to waste, is not to be kept to ourselves or re-consumed by us. It is for giving abundantly and with joy to others as Christ has given abundantly and with joy to us.

    1. Oh so true Kathy…….shame on me if I squander HIS love and not share it and pass it along to anyone who needs it. We never know what someone is going through or why they are there in front of us. Isn’t our GOD amazing how our cups do continually run over!! Our joy and blessings we need to share with all those around us!
