If you ponder the thought…….only ONE divine night happened to change the world. JESUS was born to dwell among us…….GOD with us……IMMANUEL.  And on one DIVINE night touched by GOD, HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON was born to us……..GLORY to GOD in the HIGHEST!

JOHN 1: 14  “AND THE WORD BECAME FLESH AND DWELT AMONG US, AND WE BEHOLD HIS GLORY, THE GLORY AS OF THE ONLY BEGOTTEN OF THE FATHER, FULL OF GRACE AND TRUTH.”

Yes, JESUS has come! And HIS glorious truth and kindness was and is on display for all to see…..

ONE DIVINE NIGHT CHANGED THE WORLD FOREVER.

GOD’S forever story…….for this world, our world, had pointed to that one night, a night like no other.

ONE DIVINE NIGHT WHEN ANGELS APPEARED.

LUKE 2: 13-14  “SUDDENLY A LARGE ARMY OF ANGELS APPEARED WITH THE ANGEL.  THEY WERE PRAISING GOD BY SAYING, “GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST HEAVEN, AND ON EARTH PEACE TO THOSE WHO HAVE HIS GOOD WILL.”

The GOOD NEWS TRANSLATION says this:  “suddenly a great army of Heaven’s angels appeared with the angel.”  So not a few angels appeared to announce JESUS’ coming, no, an army of angels appeared on that One Divine Night!  They flooded the heavens and surrounded the shepherds in the fields with glory and light!  Can you imagine?

ONE DIVINE NIGHT FULL OF DIVINE LIGHT

 

And because of that one DIVINE night filled with DIVINE light, the shepherds were drawn to the light and what the angels had told them……..so they searched for the CHRIST child and after they had found HIM, they told everyone what they had seen and……

LUKE 2: 18  “ALL WHO HEARD THE SHEPHERDS STORY WERE ASTONISHED.”

Then those lowly shepherds returned to their flocks glorifying and praising GOD because all that was told to them came true, a DIVINE truth!  And to this day, we remain astonished too.

ONE DIVINE NIGHT FILLED WITH GOD’S HOLY TRUTH.

On that DIVINE night………Jesus left the comfort of Heaven to dwell among us, a sin-filled and chaotic world.  HE brought HIS light down with HIM so we would be drawn to that great light out of our darkness and ultimately share in that light, a light which now resides within us…….

MATTHEW 5:16  “LET YOUR LIGHT SO SHINE BEFORE MEN, THAT THEY MAY SEE YOUR GOOD WORKS AND GLORIFY YOUR FATHER IN HEAVEN.”

One DIVINE night in history, never to be forgotten…….one night we still 2000 years later honor and remember and why do we do this? 

BECAUSE ONE DIVINE NIGHT WELCOMED ONE DIVINE SAVIOR.

Let us remember this DIVINE night, not just on Christmas, but all year long.  Let our focus be on JESUS, our Savior, our Redeemer, our DIVINE and HOLY ONE!  Because that ONE DIVINE NIGHT changed the world forever……… and forever will HE be with us, our DIVINE IMMANUEL!
