It is interesting to me how the enemy works……he is crafty and resourceful. Be careful when you are writing about him…..I almost completed this post today and just like that with hitting a button, boom, the whole post was erased in front of my eyes! I know I didn’t hit the wrong button because I was looking at it. So I have had to claim JESUS’ name and once again attempt my thoughts here.
Let me start over……., did you know that the less you know of GOD, the more the enemy can have his way with you? The enemy knows and finds our weaknesses and doubts and then multiplies them within our minds. He knows what frustrates us and gives us reasons to become angry with those around us, whether we know them or not! And so we fear and doubt and become angry all while playing into the enemy’s hands and then we even start to question our faithful GOD who never leaves us.
In our current Christian climate we have many who say they love JESUS, but have never opened their Bible. If you don’t know scripture, how can you ever fight an enemy who wants to defeat you? His only goal is to deceive and lie and cause doubt within. How can you trust GOD and HIS heart for you, if you have never embraced or understood HIS promises?
The enemy’s deception began in the Garden with Eve when he hissed these words to her:
GENESIS 3: 1 “DID GOD ACTUALLY SAY, YOU SHALL NOT EAT OF ANY TREE IN THE GARDEN?”

Notice his words to make EVE question what GOD had told her…….notice how we too listen to deceptive and twisted wisdom from our world today. Pay attention to how these voices vying for our attention get louder and louder each day. So what shall we do? Stand upon HIS promises, read them daily, memorize them, meditate on them and faithfully and obediently continue to study them.
IF WE ARE HOPELESS, THEN WE ARE USELESS FOR THE KINGDOM.
If we let the enemy define us, he will…….he will find a way to pull us into the pit of despair with him. And so, with the LORD’S strength and help, we can choose to stand firmly upon HIS immeasurable promises.

Here are just a few:
- We will dwell in HIS safety…….PSALM 4:8
- We shall fear no one…….PSALM 27: 1
- We will never be shaken…….PSALM 16: 8
- We will fear no evil…….PSALM 23: 4
- We are chosen for HIS inheritance…….PSALM 33: 12
- We are the people of HIS pasture…….PSALM 95: 7
- We are the works of HIS hands…….ISAIAH 60: 21
- We are HIS royal Priesthood…….1 PETER 2: 9
- We are blessed beyond measure…….MATTHEW 5: 3-11
- We are sanctified in the truth…….JOHN 17: 17
- We are forgiven of our sins…….MATTHEW 6: 12
- We will be with JESUS for all of eternity…….JOHN 17: 24
There are many many more promises to find. The Bible is filled with them and they are a treasure. Open them and let them sink down deep today and every day. Preach them to yourself, especially when the enemy starts messing with your head. We all need the daily feeding of our souls and the enemy is aware of this too. If we allow him to distract us and keep us busy, then we aren’t opening the GOOD BOOK, GOD’S book, GOD’S story.

This is our choice in the here and now……to choose GOD and HIS word, or to choose busyness or worldly pursuits. Do we choose and trust HIS promises for us over anything else we know, or do we choose the lies and deceit? Are we playing into the enemy’s hands by letting the issues of this world get the better of us or are we tuning into the GOSPEL word instead of TV, or Facebook or Instagram? Do we surrender to the Cross or do we surrender to the beast of this world? I know what and Whom I am choosing today……how about you?
HEBREWS 10: 23 “LET US HOLD FAST THE CONFESSION OF OUR HOPE WITHOUT WAVERING, FOR HE WHO PROMISED IS FAITHFUL.”

I LOVE your list of Bible promises! And God’s Word is so faithful and TRUE.
You ended so perfectly with Hebrews 10.23. God IS faithful, and we can hold fast with His strength.

Sunday the Lord gave me that same passage in Genesis to share at this Saturday morning prayer group. I wrote down some things that the Holy Spirit laid on my heart and your post confirms them. Thank you.

I believe you about the trouble with posting! I have written and recorded a song about spiritual warfare and books that deal with it, and I could tell you stories …! Nowadays, I pray early in the day for God to anoint and guard my words – past, present, future, spoken, written, sung, or prayed. I plead the blood of Jesus over my mouth, my voice, my face, my mind, my laptop, my cell phone, and any pen or pencil I pick up! (That might seem a little OCD, but I want to cover all the bases. 😉 )

Oh how I so agree with you doing all of this……it’s not OCD at all! It is praying JESUS over all things! Writing for the LORD is open to the enemy’s tactics towards us. Yes I have some interesting stories too. Maybe someday we can share! Stay strong in the LORD my friend……put on the Armor of GOD! Ephesians 6!!
