Who is looking at you following JESUS?  Even if it is just one person, you are making an impact in your sphere of influence.  Sometimes we don’t just tell people, but we lead or point people to the LORD by our own actions.  You see, you never know who is watching you closely.  You never know who is watching how you follow JESUS…….

you may be the only reflection of JESUS that someone sees!

Oh it is so hard to walk in these present days.  Every which way you turn, people are angry, frustrated and very divided.  But even in the midst of all this chaos, there is someone watching you. It could be someone in your family, or a friend, a co-worker or a neighbor.

There are those who are paying attention to how you react to all this uncertainty.  Are you above all else certain of the LORD and HIS promises for you?  Because if you are, you will walk your path securely and in peace.  Remember, unchurched people need to be loved.  They may claim to know about JESUS, but they really haven’t made HIM their true LORD and SAVIOR.  Could they be seeking HIM initially by watching you walk in your faith? Where is your faith pointing them?

We need to make every effort to walk in this way…….

2 PETER 1: 5-7 “FOR THIS VERY REASON, MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO SUPPLEMENT YOUR FAITH WITH VIRTUE, AND VIRTUE WITH KNOWLEDGE, AND KNOWLEDGE WITH SELF-CONTROL, AND SELF-CONTROL WITH STEADFASTNESS, AND STEADFASTNESS WITH GODLINESS, AND GODLINESS WITH BROTHERLY AFFECTION AND BROTHERLY AFFECTION WITH LOVE.”

If we follow JESUS in this way and we are intentional about the above qualities, then we will never fall.  And those who follow us, will not fall either.  Read this……

2 PETER 1: 10 “THEREFORE, BROTHERS, BE ALL THE MORE DILIGENT TO MAKE YOUR CALLING AND ELECTION SURE, FOR IF YOU PRACTICE THESE QUALITIES YOU WILL NEVER FALL.”

When you are following JESUS, our good and perfect SAVIOR, you will not fail…….

2 PETER 1: 11 “FOR IN THIS WAY THERE WILL BE RICHLY PROVIDED FOR YOU AN ENTRANCE INTO THE ETERNAL KINGDOM OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.”

Today are you the one who walks securely in peace and light for all to see?  Do people wonder why you are so calm in the storm?  When asked why, definitely share the GOSPEL with them……let them know the hope you have and the ROCK that you stand upon.

Sometimes we can point people to JESUS, but more often than not, we need to go with them.  This involves time and effort on our part…….a sacrifice.  We need to come alongside in a kind and gentle way.

Oh let it be that we are all willing to sacrifice for eternity and the eternity of the souls in our midst!  Walking with JESUS helps us walk with those around us.

Let’s be diligent in following others who are following JESUS faithfully.  Be careful that you yourself do not follow false prophets or false teaching…….test everything you hear with scripture.  Is it truth?  Do not condone that which is false because remember, someone is following you and you do not want to lead them astray.

2 PETER 2: 21 “FOR IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER FOR THEM NEVER TO HAVE KNOWN THE WAY OF RIGHTEOUSNESS THAN AFTER KNOWING IT TO TURN BACK FROM THE HOLY COMMANDMENT DELIVERED TO THEM.”

Is your spiritual identity intact?  Is your whole identity wrapped up in JESUS?  Because if it is, then it will show itself to the outside world……..someone just might decide to follow. They may want to know about the abundant life you proclaim!  And an abundant life well lived is meant to be shared.

Let’s remember that the ultimate task ahead of us as we walk in CHRIST is never as great as the POWER that is behind us!  So walk in strength and wisdom in the GOSPEL.  Let us who follow JESUS become more like HIM with each passing day, so that whoever sees us following HIM will begin to adore HIM too!

JOHN 8: 12 “WHEN JESUS SPOKE AGAIN TO THE PEOPLE, HE SAID: “I AM THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD.  WHOEVER FOLLOWS ME WILL NEVER WALK IN DARKNESS, BUT WILL HAVE THE LIGHT OF LIFE.”
