Our gracious GOD is so very faithful to us, so let us examine today how faithful we are to HIM.  

MATTHEW 25:  21   “YOU HAVE BEEN FAITHFUL WITH A FEW THINGS; I WILL PUT YOU IN CHARGE OF MANY THINGS.”

Faithful in a few things is how we start……..faithful in reading our Bibles, study and daily prayer and praise.  Our faithfulness depends upon our GOD holding us each day and developing within us a faithful spirit in small things.  These small things are seen by the LORD and HE develops within us fruitfulness over time too.

FAITHFULNESS WILL DEVELOP INTO FRUITFULNESS

You will know them by their fruit…….take stock within yourself and see how you use your time, talent and money.  This is an everyday occurrence, a consistent quality and a fruit of the spirit.

MATTHEW 7:  20  “THUS YOU WILL RECOGNIZE THEM BY THEIR FRUITS.”

Faithfulness first and foremost in the WORD is key.  A firm foundation in JESUS and the GOSPEL gives us all the tools we need to be fruitful.

FAITHFULNESS = FRUITFULNESS

These two actions seem to go hand in hand because one builds upon the other. How can we ever be fruitful for CHRIST unless we know HIM and HIS word for us? Let us stand upon HIS promises to us and preach them to ourselves.

And because JESUS is good, then being faithful in following HIM results in good fruit and fruit from the Spirit…….

GALATIANS 5:  22-23   “…….LOVE, JOY, PEACE, PATIENCE, GOODNESS, FAITHFULNESS, GENTLENESS AND SELF-CONTROL.”

Do you see this good fruit in your life?  Because a good tree produces good fruit.  I think JESUS is excellent in tearing the whole tree down first within us so that what regrows there is good and pure and delicious!

So begin today, even if you haven’t been faithful, HE is!  And find one small thing you can be faithful with.  Start small and watch how it grows into more.  GOD teaches us to be faithful with every step, because of HIS plan for us.  Faithful steps develop into fruitful actions.  And when we are weak and when we fail, HE is strong and HE picks us up and guides us forward with HIS mighty HAND.

I don’t know about you, but in this life I love being faithful…….there is peace and blessing to be found in it.  There is a quiet purpose for those small things and HE sees and says:  well done, good and faithful servant.

JOHN 15:  2   “HE CUTS OFF EVERY BRANCH IN ME THAT BEARS NO FRUIT, WHILE EVERY BRANCH THAT DOES BEAR FRUIT HE PRUNES SO THAT IT WILL BE EVEN MORE FRUITFUL.”
