Maybe GOD is the only ONE we can hand our heart in pieces to and HE places HIS healing HAND there to restore and remake what was broken.  I am learning that only GOD is the ONE who can make your heart whole again.

PSALM 51:  12   “RESTORE TO ME THE JOY OF YOUR SALVATION AND GRANT ME A WILLING SPIRIT, TO SUSTAIN ME.”

Restore and sustain.  GOD does this for the vulnerable, because the vulnerable before GOD share their true hearts with HIM.  They know HE won’t crush them further, no matter what they have done or are going through.  And why?  Because of HIS immeasurable grace……

MATTHEW 12:  20  “A BRUISED REED HE WILL NOT BREAK, AND A SMOLDERING WICK HE WILL NOT SNUFF OUT……..”

With our GOD, we don’t need to be perfect to come before HIM……..did you know?  We just need  to be authentically ourselves.

HE KNOWS OUR HURT AND OUR PAIN

HE understands us because HE knows us better than we even know ourselves……..so why run?

Shattered heart people are vulnerable people.  In their lives their shattered hearts are evidence they have lived much and loved much. GOD gave them their story and knew their vulnerable hearts would break one day so that they would ultimately seek HIM, would turn to HIM in their pain and sin.

DEUTERONOMY 30:  6   “AND THE LORD YOUR GOD WILL CIRCUMCISE YOUR HEART AND THE HEART OF YOUR OFFSPRING, SO THAT YOU WILL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, THAT YOU MAY LIVE.”

So…….that……..you…….may……..live.  I would rather be vulnerable before the LORD, then to be tough and having it all together.  How many of us were raised with the thought that only the tough win?  I don’t want to be a rock because rocks don’t feel and rocks don’t breathe.

Only the vulnerable know their sin and feel and breathe their true need for SOMEONE who is much better than themselves.  GOD is their truth, their ROCK, their all and all…….

PSALM 42:  1   “AS A DEER PANTS FOR FLOWING STREAMS, SO PANTS MY SOUL FOR YOU, O GOD.”

Broken and vulnerable is right where we should be…….before GOD.  It’s humbling ourselves knowing we bring nothing before HIM, except our hearts.  And only then, can our hearts be searched because HIS word alone keeps us accountable, vulnerable and convicted.  And in this accountability, we say:  “yes LORD, I did do that and I am sorry for it…….help me.”

Let the LORD meet you where you are today, even in your mess, even in your pain and sorrow. Because it is only there that HE can sustain and restore you and ultimately give you the peace you are seeking.  Open your heart today my friend, and know your GOD will love you in return with a love that has no end!

1 JOHN 4:  10   “IN THIS IS LOVE, NOT THAT WE HAVE LOVED GOD BUT THAT HE LOVED US AND SENT HIS SON TO BE THE PROPITIATION FOR OUR SINS.”
