I love to write and I love to write by hand. Some just post online directly with their laptops, but I write my posts out by hand. I have many notebooks, all different kinds and I enjoy going back to reread them now and again. But I carefully write knowing GOD watches over my shoulder as I do.
Often GOD instructs us to be careful. Let’s not take this warning lightly…….
EPHESIANS 5: 15-16 “BE VERY CAREFUL, THEN, HOW YOU LIVE – NOT AS UNWISE BUT AS WISE, MAKING THE MOST OF EVERY OPPORTUNITY, BECAUSE THE DAYS ARE EVIL.”
Be…….very careful……then…….how you live. GOD writes our stories before we are even born. Are we letting HIM write our stories now? We cannot know or live rightly unless we first stand upon the solid ROCK of Salvation, JESUS CHRIST. And the only way to do this is to live……..carefully……taking great care of our hearts and anything we do or say.
CHRIST is our cornerstone of our lives so that we live each and every day with purpose, careful thought, discernment and understanding of HIS WORD.
BE VERY CAREFUL…….THEN
Be very careful, what you say, how you act, where you go, what you fill your soul with. Let’s ask ourselves before we do and act: Is this what GOD wants?
2 CORONICLES 19: 7 “NOW THEN, LET THE FEAR OF THE LORD BE UPON YOU. BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU DO……..”
Deep within us, is there a desire to please GOD, to know HIM and then to carefully live? Let us live carefully and not carelessly!
And so, GOD writes our stories, very carefully because HE is a good and gracious GOD. May we never take our lives for granted……may we live humbly before our GOD, knowing HIS care for us and being thankful for HIS provision.
1 PETER 5: 7 “GIVE ALL YOUR WORRIES AND CARES TO GOD, FOR HE CARES ABOUT YOU.”
Our stories are different from one another for a very good reason: so glory can be given to our GOD. My story is not yours and I didn’t choose mine as it is, but I know that GOD has carefully chosen it for me and so now, I must carefully live it out and share my story with those around me who need to hear about HOW GOD helps me live each day with the hope I have.
ISAIAH 33: 6 “HE WILL BE THE SURE FOUNDATION FOR YOUR TIMES, A RICH STORE OF SALVATION AND WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE; THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS THE KEY TO THIS TREASURE.”
There is treasure to be found, in your story and in mine……let’s look carefully into our lives and see how very carefully GOD writes our stories, with attention to every single detail. Behold how HE writes…….very carefully just for you!

“Mindful” was a word that grew in usage a few years ago. It may have been overused, but I think there’s something to be said about being mindful in our walk with God – being careful in how we relate to Him, and then careful in how we live that out before and among others: Giving thanks always, pray continually, setting our minds on things above…

Yes Kathy, being mindful really is a thing……seems like in our world today, people have lost their minds in what they are doing! We choose to capture our thoughts for CHRIST and therefore we live more abundantly!
