YOU are HIS light and you have this light within you……. did you know? Oh to gaze upon the LORD and to bask in HIS wonderful eternal light!

Google says the human eye can see a candle from 1.6 miles away in complete darkness.  And possibly as much as 30 miles away although this is disputed.  But still, complete darkness makes the light shine brighter.  So our eyes were created to see this light and to be drawn to it.  Our Creator knows we need this light, we need to stand close to HIS FLAME.

ISAIAH 60:  1   “ARISE, SHINE, FOR YOUR LIGHT HAS COME, AND THE GLORY OF THE LORD RISES UPON YOU.”

Stand ever so close to the FLAME and feel it’s heat.  Because our world is getting darker and darker, each of us needs to be a bright flame……..for CHRIST.  

ISAIAH 10:  17   “THE LIGHT OF ISRAEL WILL BECOME A FIRE, THEIR HOLY ONE A FLAME……”

Each of us is a flame, each of us a bright light in our circle of influences.  Don’t let the darkness of the world touch you, instead touch the world and let others stand in your beams of light. As each of us remains in HIS light, HIS light remains in us.  So we need to be in HIS light, exposed to it every single day with our study, our learning and our worship.  

EPHESIANS 5:  13   “BUT EVERYTHING EXPOSED BY THE LIGHT BECOMES VISIBLE – AND EVERYTHING THAT IS ILLUMINATED BECOMES A LIGHT.”

Peoples evil intentions are exposed when the light shines on them.  So be the light of CHRIST.  And when you are asked about your light, be prepared to answer, because the world is searching for this light right now in all of the darkness!  Some find it and others do not, some choose the narrow gate, and others do not.  But your light alone can shine into someone’s life, and change it for all of eternity!

When our team at Church serves each week, we are asked to be the “light of CHRIST”.  I love basking in this light too.  My fellow servants are an example to me…….they encourage me to shine even brighter!  I know I leave each week, filled once again with this glorious light.

The LORD shines HIS light through HIS people.  The light shines through their eyes and also their soul.  Let’s stand ever so close to the FLAME of CHRIST.  Do you feel the heat?  Now go, and be HIS light in all the world!

JOHN 12:  36  “BELIEVE IN THE LIGHT WHILE YOU HAVE THE LIGHT, SO THAT YOU MAY BECOME CHILDREN OF LIGHT.”
