Are we waving between two GOD’S this season?  Are we paying more attention to the god of materialism than the true GOD of the universe?  I ask this because the Bible tells us we cannot serve two masters.  

MATTHEW 6:  24   “NO ONE CAN SERVE TWO MASTERS.  EITHER YOU WILL HATE THE ONE AND LOVE THE OTHER, OR YOU WILL BE DEVOTED TO THE ONE AND DESPISE THE OTHER.  YOU CANNOT SERVE BOTH GOD AND MONEY.”

Christmas is about the BABE in the manger…….Emmanuel.  So come and adore……..HIM!  Our world has turned Christmas into a season of getting not giving.  Our LORD gave HIS life on the CROSS just for us, so come, let us give our gift of adoration and wonder.  Let your eyes and your heart seek HIM this Christmas.  Yes we shop and look for that perfect gift for someone when in reality all we should be giving one another is the gift of the GOSPEL and HIS message of love and grace.

As Christians we serve and love only one GOD……the true GOD, Emmanuel, GOD with us.  Because, HE came for us and was ever so certain that HIS love for us would set us free.  HIS sacrifice was the greatest gift of all time so……

ISAIAH 53:  6  “WE ALL, LIKE SHEEP, HAVE GONE ASTRAY, EACH OF US HAS TURNED TO OUR OWN WAY; AND THE LORD HAS LAID ON HIM THE INIQUITY OF US ALL.”

The LORD comes and HE gives and gives to us……..what have we given for HIM?  What have we given this CHRISTMAS in HIS name?  Because GOD give us every single thing.  HE is the ALPHA and OMEGA…….the GOD of everything!!

ISAIAH 9:  6   “AND HE WILL BE CALLED WONDERFUL COUNSELOR, MIGHTY GOD, EVERLASTING FATHER, PRINCE OF PEACE.”

GOD came down to us long ago, on a HOLY night, filled with wonder and light. The GOD of everything gave HIS everything…….HIS SON, JESUS.

1 JOHN 4:  9  “IN THIS THE LOVE OF GOD WAS MADE MANIFEST AMONG US, THAT GOD SENT HIS ONLY SON INTO THE WORLD, SO THAT WE MIGHT LIVE THROUGH HIM.”

Live for HIM, not for this world, not for all the stuff that rusts and rots.  Our world certainly has nothing to offer us…….but JESUS does!  Come with me this season and adore the true light that is CHRIST our LORD…….wonderful Counselor and Prince of Peace!

MATTHEW 22:  32   “I AM THE GOD OF ABRAHAM, AND THE GOD OF ISAAC AND THE GOD OF JACOB.  HE IS NOT THE GOD OF THE DEAD, BUT OF THE LIVING.”
