HEAVENSREEF

Here in the West I must say that we have the most glorious sunsets I have ever seen.  They actually take my breath away to the point that if I see one, I must stop and take a picture so I won’t ever forget it and then, I ponder HIS glorious HAND writing across the sky!

We can chase after sunrises and sunsets, but chasing after HIS glory is even better.  GOD’S glory and holiness is a stark contrast to our unholiness.  And yet, we have a GOD who shows us HIS glory every single day, a GOD who decided to come down to this earth so we could see and know HIS true glory in HIS SON.

LUKE 2:  13-14   “AND SUDDENLY THERE WAS WITH THE ANGEL A MULTITUDE OF THE HEAVENLY HOST PRAISING GOD AND SAYING, “GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST, AND ON EARTH PEACE AMONG THOSE WITH WHOM HE IS PLEASED!”

After the Shepherds were visited out in the fields, and after GOD’S glory was revealed, they wanted more!  More of HIS glory…….

LUKE 2:  15   “LET’S GO TO BETHLEHEM AND SEE THIS THING THAT HAS HAPPENED WHICH THE LORD HAS TOLD US ABOUT.”

Those lowly Shepherds were sheep chasers in their own right, but then after encountering the angels from on high, they became glory chasers!  They chased after the baby JESUS!  And what a glorious night it was!

PSALM 86:  12   “I GIVE THANKS TO YOU, O LORD MY GOD, WITH MY WHOLE HEART, AND I WILL GLORIFY YOUR NAME FOREVER.”

As those Shepherds did, look square into the wonderful face of the LORD JESUS and see the glory and light there…….then turn and notice how the world’s light dims.

BE A GLORY CHASER TODAY

Watch how your joy within increases.  Seek HIS glory alone and your eternal treasures will increase because you are seeking after your Heavenly Father who is always available to show you HIS glory.  Chase and seek……..HIM!

JEREMIAH 29: 13  “YOU WILL SEEK ME AND FIND ME WHEN YOU SEEK ME WITH ALL YOUR HEART.”

Stop chasing after the things of this world that never satisfy……..chase after HIS glory and all the treasures you will find there, eternal treasures where moth and rust do not destroy.

HIS GLORY IS AN ETERNAL TREASURE COMPARED TO THE TEMPORARY TREASURES ON THIS EARTH.

Chasing after HIS glory produces this within us……..

2 CORINTHIANS 3:  18   “AND WE ALL, WITH UNVEILED FACES CONTEMPLATE THE LORD’S GLORY, ARE BEING TRANSFORMED INTO HIS IMAGE WITH EVER-INCREASING GLORY, WHICH COMES FROM THE LORD, WHO IS THE SPIRIT.”

Our own faces then, will reflect some of that glory to the world around us.  HIS spirit makes us more and more like HIM, our glorious LORD!

Like those Shepherds in the fields centuries ago, become a glory chaser during this upcoming season of love and light.  Chase after HIM who is worthy of all our praise and worship, because HE alone is the glorious GOD of the universe!

REVELATION 4:  11   “YOU ARE WORTHY, OUR LORD AND GOD, TO RECEIVE GLORY AND HONOR AND POWER, FOR YOU CREATED ALL THINGS AND BY YOUR WILL THEY WERE CREATED AND HAVE THEIR BEING.”
