We say it often…….GOD is good, all the time.  But do we fully trust HIS goodness or is there a small sliver of doubt that nags at us?  It is a doubt that the enemy loves to play with us.  We can fall into this trap, or we can fall into the arms of the ONE who continually holds us.  We can read and reread HIS promises to us and let them sink deep into our souls…….

PSALM 34:  8   “OH, TASTE AND SEE THAT THE LORD IS GOOD!  BLESSED IS THE MAN WHO TAKES REFUGE IN HIM.”

HIS goodness never runs dry………ever.  HIS character proves it.  And because HE is good, everything, every blessing, and every trial that comes from HIM is good too.

GOOD = GOOD

It can be hard to trust when we are surrounded by so much evil.  We ask GOD “how can this be?” And in our questioning and in all of our doubts, HE still tells us: TRUST ME!

PROVERBS 3: 5   “TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND LEAN NOT ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING.”

Our understanding of GOD and how HE works only goes so far.  And so, we have to surrender our understanding and leave the rest to trust.  HE holds us fast and with that we have to hold fast to HIS hand.

ISAIAH 41:  13   “FOR I, THE LORD YOUR GOD, HOLD YOUR RIGHT HAND; IT IS I WHO SAY TO YOU, “FEAR NOT, I AM THE ONE WHO HELPS YOU.”

Often we do not understand the why things are happening to us, but we can imagine HIM holding our hand through what we go through.  Because HIS promise is that HE will never leave us…….why would we not trust that?

DEUTERONOMY  31: 8   “THE LORD HIMSELF GOES BEFORE YOU AND WILL BE WITH YOU; HE WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU.  DO NOT BE AFRAID; DO NOT BE DISCOURAGED.”

HE WILL NEVER LEAVE……..HE WILL NEVER FORSAKE YOU OR FAIL YOU.  SO TRUST HIM………CONTINUALLY.

HEBREWS 2:  13   “AND AGAIN, “I WILL PUT MY TRUST IN HIM.”
