GOD’S peace is everywhere and oh how we search for it. We search for it in nature and in our surroundings. What our eyes see gives us a sense of peace like gazing into the ocean or looking at a mountain. But the best peace there is comes from our SAVIOR.
JOHN 14: 27 “PEACE I LEAVE WITH YOU; MY PEACE I GIVE TO YOU. NOT AS THE WORLD GIVES DO I GIVE TO YOU. LET NOT YOUR HEARTS BE TROUBLED, NEITHER LET THEM BE AFRAID.”
And so our hearts should remain untroubled and afraid because we function with Thanksgiving. Being truly thankful ushers in true peace. Have you noticed this? I find when I am thankful and even list those things or people I am thankful for that internally I feel and find HIS PEACE.
AN INNER PEACE OF THE SOUL AND MIND IS TRUE PEACE………WHERE GOD IS NEAR!
But in order to experience this inner peace, I must begin with being thankful. The posture of being thankful isn’t in our natures. No, as humans we are complainers, worriers and tend to be full of anxiety. We take our eyes off of GOD and this soon happens. When we are thankful, we meet instantly with the LORD. And the LORD is true peace.
In this Fall season to come, let us find a continuing posture of thankfulness, because true peace is found there.
1 THESSALONIANS 5: 18 “GIVE THANKS IN EVERYTHING, FOR THIS IS THE WILL OF GOD TOWARD YOU IN CHRIST JESUS.”
And isn’t it just like the LORD to know that we wouldn’t find peace from the world no matter how hard we try? Being intentional and truly thoughtful of CHRIST and all that HE is gives that internal peace we crave.
PSALM 29: 11 “THE LORD BLESSES HIS PEOPLE WITH PEACE.”
So today close your eyes and find the peace you are looking for……….be thankful and find HIS peace that transcends all human understanding.
PHILIPPIANS 4: 7 “AND THE PEACE OF GOD, WHICH TRANSCENDS ALL UNDERSTANDING, WILL GUARD YOUR HEARTS AND YOUR MINDS IN CHRIST JESUS.”

When we are thankful, we focus on WHO we thank. Shooting thankfulness out into the universe cannot satisfy the desires of our hearts.
Being thankful to God sets our hearts at rest because we know we are safe under His wings. And yes, ☺️ that brings us His peace.
