HEAVENSREEF

Fall is coming……..can you feel it?  Just when I think I cannot take the oppressive heat here in AZ any longer, we get a slight change.  You can feel it the most in the early morning air.  The next season is upon us and those of us who live here know we will enjoy 8 months of good weather.

In life we all have seasons too.  And in those seasons we all want to grow up strong in CHRIST.  HE is our firm foundation, but like a big beautiful tree, we need to be rooted in HIM.  JESUS HIMSELF was described in ISAIAH as a root……..

ROMANS 15:  12   “AND AGAIN, ISAIAH SAYS, THE ROOT OF JESSE WILL SPRING UP ONE WHO WILL ARISE TO RULE OVER THE NATIONS…….”

Isn’t it interesting that JESUS has been spoken about as a root and as a vine.  Both of those being common to us in nature and yet both of those can only grow when connected either to the tree or the branches to the vine.  JESUS is the vine and GOD is the Gardener.  And we, well we are the followers who will bear fruit when we stay connected.  Our staying connected helps us to grow and to be strengthened in our faith, maturing a little every single day.

MAY YOUR ROOTS GROW DEEPER STILL IN CHRIST

Maybe you think, well I am going deep!  We can go deeper still because there is no end to all we could know or learn about the MASTER GARDENER.

And how can we do this?  By studying HIS precious HOLY WORDS to us.  It is there we can go as deep as we want.  

ROOT YOURSELF DAILY IN HIS WORD

And that bible you hold in your hand?  It’s the greatest story ever told, and one that will pierce your heart, your soul and change you forever………so let it!  Only HIS word has the power to change us from unholy sinners to holy disciples.  As we dig into HIS word we change internally because GOD wants us changed for eternity.  

ROMANS 11:  16   “……..IF THE ROOT IS HOLY, SO ARE THE BRANCHES.”

CHRIST, the HOLY ONE is the root we are to find and cling to………and then, HE helps us to grow up in HIM.  HIS HOLY love for us runs deeper still, so when we are rooted in HIM we are rooted into a deep well of HOLY love, grace and forgiveness.

Like the tall majestic trees that soon turn color signaling that Fall has arrived, let us recognize in ourselves the current season we are in.  Are we rooted deep?  Or do we need to do some more digging?  Let’s never give up on this.  There is such treasure waiting to be found.  GOD is the MASTER of all of it, so root yourself in HIM and be blessed today.  WE can go deep with HIM as much as we want to, because HE promises all of us that HE always be found!

REVELATION 22:  16   “I AM THE ROOT AND THE OFFSPRING OF DAVID, AND THE BRIGHT MORNING STAR.”
