If you think about it, there is much beauty, manmade beauty that we can buy on this earth. Beautiful homes, cars, paintings etc. all are plentiful and adored.  All of this however, is just stuff.  It is stuff we think somehow will satisfy.

TRUE BEAUTY CAN ONLY BE BOUGHT WITH ATTENTION.

It’s our attention and being intentional that helps us see………to see the beauty of the LORD and all that HE is.

PSALM 50:  2   “OUT OF ZION, THE PERFECTION OF BEAUTY, GOD SHINES FORTH.”

What we see can be a true feast for the soul.  The created is proof of the CREATOR.  What a delicate and perfect HAND HE has.  My recent trip to Hawaii just confirmed this.  The only word I have for what I saw there was breathtaking.  On our last day too, I saw this beautiful rainbow that looked like it was coming out of a mountain.  Incredible.  

That old phrase to “stop and smell the roses” makes a lot of sense.  Let us never take the beauty around us for granted and know that GOD placed it there for us to find and to see.  May we be ever so grateful for the small and the big that takes our breath away.

EVEN NON-BELIEVERS SEE GOD’S BEAUTY.

They know what they are looking at is beautiful, however in our culture now many worship the Creation, instead of the CREATOR.  Those of us who believe, do see with our souls because of our GOD.  We see we are part of HIS creation and each day handed to us is a gift………a gift to see HIS beauty around us and to be grateful.

GOD’S GLORY IS IN HIS SON

Our beautiful SAVIOR can be seen and known.  To know HIM is to love HIM.  Oh what a beautiful GOD we have who sent HIS one and only SON to die for our sins!  When GOD touches us, we see this beauty before us.  It’s a beauty that can only be bought with our attention.  

JOHN 1: 14   “WE HAVE SEEN HIS GLORY, THE GLORY OF THE ONE AND ONLY SON, WHO CAME FROM THE FATHER, FULL OF GRACE AND TRUTH.”

There is nothing more beautiful than this.  The world around us and even it’s beauty is wasting away, but the beauty of the FATHER never changes.  Who HE is and HIS beautiful words are eternal.  And HIS grace and mercy are perfect beauty, beauty for our souls. 

TRUE BEAUTY IS FOUND AT THE CROSS

Look to the CROSS and see what was done there for mankind.  There alone, you will find true beauty, true love, true redemption and true sacrifice.  This beauty can only be found with our attention and love.  So seek it today………and be in awe.

PSALM 27: 13   “I BELIEVE THAT I SHALL LOOK UPON THE GOODNESS OF THE LORD IN THE LAND OF THE LIVING!”
