With this being passion week, the week leading up to our dear Savior’s crucifixion and resurrection, let’s examine ourselves and see clearly if who we pursue in our lives is JESUS.

In other words, are we a sold out, somebody for CHRIST?  We all tend to seek something or someone.  Today we have our to-do list, but at the same time we all seek peace, contentment, fulfillment and happiness.  We all by HIS grace have to come to grips with our sinful selves.  GOD knew this before time began, so HE put within us a deep desire to pursue HIM and in that a desire to become more Holy, just like HIS SON.

PSALM 145:  19  “HE FULFILLS THE DESIRE OF THOSE WHO FEAR HIM.”

Those who fear HIM………those who love HIM with all heart and soul.  Do we?  Do we chase after HIM in all our ways?  Are our stories about HIM more than about us?  

IF YOU HAVEN’T DONE IT, ASK GOD TO PUT WITHIN YOU A DESIRE TO BE MORE HOLY LIKE HIM.

When the power of GOD comes to rest upon you, you can do many good and wonderful things due to HIS equipping you with your gifts.  HE will also give you all the discipline you need to draw close to HIM, to abide with HIM every single day and to desire HIS word and wisdom for your life.

But be prepared………this HOLINESS we ask for and we pursue after does and will seep into every aspect of our lives whether it be work, relationships, marriages and families.  When you desire HIM above everything, all of this great and powerful GOD can and will touch every aspect of your little life due to HIS amazing grace for you.  You will change and you will be different.

PSALM 73:  25   “WHOM DO I HAVE IN HEAVEN BUT YOU?  AND WITH YOU, I DESIRE NOTHING ON EARTH.”

Our deep desires, become HIS.  Our longings and desires change us to look more like JESUS.  So continue to ask, to become more HOLY in the LORD.

EPHESIANS 1:  18-19   “…….HAVING THE EYES OF YOUR HEARTS ENLIGHTENED, THAT YOU MAY KNOW WHAT IS THE HOPE TO WHICH HE HAS CALLED YOU, WHAT ARE THE RICHES OF HIS GLORIOUS INHERITANCE IN THE SAINTS AND WHAT IS THE IMMEASURABLE GREATNESS OF HIS POWER TOWARD US WHO BELIEVE……

HE has pursued and called us first and when we respond, we empty ourselves and ask GOD to pour more of HIMSELF into us.  Only a good and gracious GOD can do this………to change us and give us the right hearts to pursue after HIM all of our days!

Satan, the deceiver that he is, would have us pursue worldliness…….JESUS wants us to be more HOLY like HIM.

PURSUE HIM TODAY………with the same passion that CHRIST pursued after the CROSS.  HE never backed down.  HE obeyed HIS Father and settled the debt once and for all.  HE knew HIS mission and what HE was pursuing after……..the FATHER and the glorious KINGDOM.

And so should we!

PSALM 10: 17   “O LORD, YOU HEAR THE DESIRE OF THE AFFLICTED; YOU WILL STRENGTHEN THEIR HEART; YOU WILL INCLINE YOUR EAR.”
