I seem to have an issue lately, I have somehow learned to hit the delete key on my laptop and so I had this post completely done, and then I deleted it!  Whenever this happens I figure satan isn’t happy with what I am saying here…….and so I press on.  Forgive me that this is late!

We have a genuine and authentic GOD.  There is no one like HIM.  So let’s examine today our own hearts……..are they genuine towards HIM?  Do I somehow take HIM for granted?  

DEAR LORD JESUS WE PRAY THAT WE NEVER TAKE YOU SOMEHOW FOR GRANTED!

Let’s examine ourselves daily to see if we are just going through the motions.  A daily devotional time can turn into just checking off that box.  So can going to Church each Sunday.  Do we show up because we are supposed to?  Or are we on an autopilot?  Do we take time to prepare our hearts before Church or is it just a rush to get there?

When we are in corporate worship, is our heart’s cry a sincere cry for HIM?  Does corporate worship bring you to tears?  Or does your mind wander instead?  One of the pillars of our Church is unashamed worship.  I can see what this looks like with people around me, hands raised, tears streaming down their faces.  And others I observe just standing there like a stone!  You have to wonder what is going on in their minds?  But GOD knows and HE knows that even when we don’t seek HIM with a genuine heart and mind, HE does respond with the genuine grace that is abundant and never-ending.

I find that I am drawn to the genuine article – there are many knock offs today.  I guess I just don’t like fakes whether it be people or things.   It should be a wonder and a treasure to us that JESUS is the real deal.  Read HIS red-letter words in the BIBLE.  You will never be disappointed.

JESUS IS THE AUTHENTIC GENUINE GOD AND SAVIOR

There is no fake here and the more you read and study about HIM the more real and genuine HE becomes.  The good news is no matter how small our faith is, no matter how small our worship and Hosanna is……….JESUS is right there meeting us.  JESUS is steadfast and faithful, when we are not and HE never leaves us…….ever.

PSALM 86: 15   “BUT YOU, O LORD, ARE A GOD MERCIFUL AND GRACIOUS, SLOW TO ANGER AND ABOUNDING IN STEADFAST LOVE AND FAITHFULNESS.”

Our lives should reflect a genuine praise and love for this GOD who walked this earth, felt what we feel and experienced the hurt, betrayal and especially the sufferings of the CROSS.  This message should capture us to the core and make us realize that HIS power is genuine too. 

1 CORINTHIANS 1:  18  “FOR THE MESSAGE OF THE CROSS IS FOOLISHNESS TO THOSE WHO ARE PERISHING, BUT TO US WHO ARE BEING SAVED IT IS THE POWER OF GOD.”

JESUS alone redeemed us, reconciled us, justified us and sanctified us.  HE alone is the true FATHER of the universe – let’s send HIM together today our gift of praise and HOSANNA and let our hearts be full of joy and song and spiritual songs!  I like to use the word HOSANNA here because in Hebrew it means: pray……save us!

Look inside today to see if you have unconfessed sin.  HE wants us to be clean and holy and free, free from sin.  And after we have confessed, then we should raise a HALLELUJAH AND AMEN!  For the LORD our GOD reigns now and forevermore!  HOSANNA IN THE HIGHEST!

REVELATION 15:  3-4   “GREAT AND AMAZING ARE YOUR DEEDS, O LORD GOD THE ALMIGHTY!  JUST AND TRUE ARE YOUR WAYS, O KING OF THE NATIONS!  WHO WILL NOT FEAR, O LORD, AND GLORIFY YOUR NAME?”
