When I drop a glass on my tile floor it’s amazing how the pieces scatter everywhere.  I tend to even find some the next day.  And there is a brokenness that many of us carry that is as sharp as broken glass…….it’s a cutting of the soul that no one sees.  But GOD does!

PSALM 109:  22   “FOR I AM POOR AND NEEDY, AND MY HEART IS WOUNDED WITHIN ME.”

There seems to be so many people these days that are the walking wounded.  And because of these wounds, they take it out on anyone around them.  The walking wounded need a Savior, JESUS CHRIST.

If our hearts shatter like glass, we were never meant to carry all the brokenness within us.  JESUS understands this broken we try to carry……..that is the reason for the CROSS.  Do we see HIS own heart that was shattered there too……..just for us?

Our hearts cannot bear the weight of this broken glass that cuts to the very soul.  But JESUS can and knows how to carry it for us.  HE knows that the sharp edges of life cut like a knife and leave us wounded.  

1 PETER 2: 24   “HE PERSONALLY CARRIED OUR SINS IN HIS BODY ON THE CROSS SO THAT WE CAN BE DEAD TO SIN AND LIVE FOR WHAT IS RIGHT.  BY HIS WOUNDS YOU ARE HEALED.”

The sharp edges of life wound us and so much of the time, we ourselves cannot fix it.  We are cut and bleeding and need some healing……..healing only JESUS can do.

PSALM 34: 18   “THE LORD IS CLOSE TO THE BROKENHEARTED; HE RESCUES THOSE WHOSE SPIRITS ARE CRUSHED.”

Crushed, broken, shattered or spent.  Sometimes words just don’t sum up what our tender hearts feel.  But thank GOD we have a SAVIOR who knows us and understands our broken hearts.  HE comes near to pick up the pieces of our broken souls and places them back together with grace, mercy and love.  HIS grace softens all those broken edges.  

PSALM 65: 10   “YOU WATER IT’S FURROWS ABUNDANTLY, SETTLING IT’S RIDGES, SOFTENING IT WITH SHOWERS, AND BLESSING IT’S GROWTH.”

Only JESUS can and will abundantly give us what we need to soften and repair us on the inside.  This happens because JESUS has scars too and they are not new to HIM.  And so, we seek HIM when we hurt and the good news is that HE is already near.  HIS healing grace is there for the hurting and wounded, those who are scarred due to the shattering.  Let’s thank GOD today for who HE is and what HE did for us at the Cross.  

WE all have broken places and what should we do?  There are broken places we need to own in order for CHRIST to own more of us!  And when HE does, we are set free, free from the hurt.

Seek HIM today if you are broken.  Come to truly know the FATHER, the protector of the broken and bruised and let HIM comfort your soul.  We all need HIS amazing healing that only CHRIST can give.  And today, may all who hurt…….be blessed by HIS grace and love.

PHILIPPIANS 4: 19   “AND MY GOD WILL MEET ALL YOUR NEEDS ACCORDING TO HIS GLORIOUS RICHES IN CHRIST JESUS.”
