SUNDAY REFLECTIONS

ONLY HIS TRUTH

If you are like me, you can see the flaw in the world’s truth.  It never sets you free.  If anything it places you in bondage and that is exactly where satan wants us.  Only GOD’S truth pours into and completes a soul, a soul longing for this truth.

1 PETER 1: 8   “THOUGH YOU HAVE NOT SEEN HIM, YOU LOVE HIM; AND EVEN THOUGH YOU DO NOT SEE HIM NOW, YOU BELIEVE IN HIM……..”

WE believe and therefore, our faith in an unseen GOD leads us towards HIS truth.  HIS truth is the very truth that sets our souls free……..free then to live for CHRIST and free to love and give to others, just as CHRIST did.

ONLY HIS TRUTH REDEEMS AND CHANGES OUR WORLDS!

JOHN 16: 13   “WHEN THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH COMES, HE WILL GUIDE YOU INTO ALL THE TRUTH…….”

And so we don’t oppose the truth, we stand tall upon it.  Because HIS truth is our faithful witness to those around us and to those who do not yet see.

People these days say they have their own truth…….how sad really.  Satan’s lie has them believing they are their own god, when in reality they are living in their own little prisons.  It is a prison of one, one who thinks they deserve this or that because of who they are.  But we all have been there, in that prison, until we knew the truth of the Gospel.

PSALM 91: 4   “……..HIS TRUTH SHALL BE YOUR SHIELD AND BUCKLER.”

HIS truth then becomes our armor and shield protecting us from behind and even forward.  It is a rock on which we all stand, safe and secure.  Today friends, get into HIS truth that is like none other.  It will set your soul free because it redeems and restores.  Only HIS truth is our very present help in times of trouble.

May you worship HIM today dear reader in all Spirit and Truth.  And the truth shall set you free!

PHILLIPIANS 1: 18   “ONLY THAT IN EVERY WAY WHETHER IN PRETENSE OR IN TRUTH, CHRIST IS PROCLAIMED, AND IN THAT I REJOICE.”

  1. “Only GOD’S truth pours into and completes a soul.” — That truth is soul-deep and satisfying.

I am reminded of a verse from A Mighty Fortress is Our God:

That word above all earthly powers
    No, thanks to them, abideth
The Spirit and the gifts are ours
Through Him who with us sideth
    Let goods and kindred go
    This mortal life also
    The body they may kill
    God’s truth abideth still
    His Kingdom is forever
