Especially at Christmastime…….GOD sent the gift to us here on earth and it not only is the greatest gift ever given, but it’s the greatest story ever told and the greatest grace you will ever experience.

EMMANUEL………GOD IS WITH US!

Thousands of years ago……..on that starry night an even brighter star showed the way for those shepherds in the field…….

LUKE 2: 15   “LET US GO OVER TO BETHLEHEM AND SEE THIS THING THAT HAS HAPPENED, WHICH THE LORD HAS MADE KNOWN TO US.”

Let us go…….let us see…….look with fresh eyes, embrace HIM.  Let us come to the cradle and see the sweet BABE JESUS who was born of a virgin, suffered under Pontius Pilot, was crucified, died and was buried and rose triumphantly on the third day.

ROMANS 5: 6   “YOU SEE, AT JUST THE RIGHT TIME, WHEN WE WERE STILL POWERLESS, CHRIST DIED FOR THE UNGODLY.”

Who does that?  Only a GOD with a heart of love and grace would die in our place because of the sins of all of mankind.  GOD’S heart broke for mankind so HE sent us a BABE of hope who grew up to walk this earth just as we do.  HE knows each of us, every hair on our heads, every step we take.  HE knows us better than we know of ourselves……..what a special gift!  What a special love HE has for us. What a special gift that keeps coming and keeps giving.

LUKE 1: 68-69   “BLESSED BE THE LORD GOD OF ISRAEL; FOR HE HAS VISITED AND REDEEMED HIS PEOPLE AND HAS RAISED UP A HORN OF SALVATION FOR US.”

HIS glorious light shines bright for each of us this Christmas.  Look up to the stars and remember tonight…….how JESUS came so very long ago and how HE comes near still in the quiet by the tree……..because HE came just for you and just for me.  Remember to glorify and praise the ONE who came with grace and love, a very special love like none other, because we are loved more than we will ever know.

LUKE 2:  16 -18    “AND THEY WENT WITH HASTE AND FOUND MARY AND JOSEPH, AND THE BABY LYING IN A MANGER.  AND WHEN THEY SAW IT, THEY MADE KNOWN THE SAYING THAT HAD BEEN TOLD THEM CONCERNING THIS CHILD.  AND ALL WHO HEARD IT WONDERED AT WHAT THE SHEPHERDS TOLD THEM.”

LUKE 2: 20   “AND THE SHEPHERDS RETURNED, GLORIFYING AND PRAISING GOD FOR ALL THEY HAD HEARD AND SEEN, AS IT HAD BEEN TOLD THEM.”
